All posts must be related to woodcarving
Share your projects, ask questions and learn from each other. Off-topic comments will be removed at the moderators' discretion. This is not the right sub for identifying wood species or sharing pyrography (unless carved), bushcraft and ASMR content.
No self promotion
Unsolicited links to Etsy shops or social media will be removed at the moderators' discretion. We tolerate subtle handles on the image/video but no hawking. Youtube tutorials are allowed.

  1. All posts must be related to woodcarving
    Share your projects, ask questions and learn from each other. Off-topic comments will be removed at the moderators' discretion. This is not the right sub for identifying wood species or sharing pyrography (unless carved), bushcraft and ASMR content.
  2. Be kind and respectful to each other
    No gatekeeping, excessive profanity, rude, hurtful or discriminatory comments. This subreddit is a place for everyone. Any criticism must be constructive.
  3. All NSFW posts must be tagged
    Artistic nudity is allowed, but must be tagged. Sexually explicit material or pictures of injuries will be removed.
  4. No spam or low effort posts
    Don't flood the sub with multiple posts: group your carvings into a single post or space them out over time. By 'low effort', we mean excessively posting artwork which isn't yours. We allow this in moderation, as long as you credit the original carver and use the appropriate flair. We ask everyone to engage with the community beyond these kind of posts.
  5. Credit the original designer
    If your carving is based on a tutorial or a design created by someone else, please make sure to credit the original designer.
  6. No self promotion

  7. No CNC, Laser Cutting, or AI generated posts
    This sub is dedicated to the art and technique of carving wood, not designing objects which are made of wood. We don't accept CNC, laser cutting or AI generated carvings. Power carving carvings are welcome.
