What its rules say about promotion

No links to your own online stores but will allow used tool classified style ads. Must post general location if it is a local pickup. If it seems like a scam it will be deleted, can send verification to be reapproved to post it. No tool resellers- buying new tools and charging a markup- will be deleted promptly

  4. No Posting things that you build, unless Woodshop/workshop related.
There are enough groups where you can post the dresser you built, the cabinet you made, or even the sweet bedframe that you spent 100 hours on. It its screwdriver holder for your shop, a clamp rack that you made, or a jig for sharpening your chisels, bring it out and post it, might just inspire someone to make their own version.
  5. No hateful comments as well as no NSFW content/ material. This is a group of any background or age.
Pretty self explanatory- All Ages and any background is welcome to come learn or share their knowledge. Anything hateful- Racist, sexist, and derogatory, will result in an immediate ban.
  6. No Posting or promoting your shop, business, etsy page or anything of the like.

What the written rules don't show

  • Unpublished minimums. Many communities remove posts from new or low-karma accounts through AutoModerator settings that are not on the rules page, often before a moderator sees them.
  • Reddit's own filters. Reddit's site-wide spam filters can remove posts from accounts that mostly share links to their own site, in any community.
  • The community's norms. Many communities see themselves as peers, not an audience: post where you already take part, and make the post worth reading without the link.

Let your AI read the rules before it posts.

ThreadFox reads a community's current rules, writes a post that fits them, posts once with Reddit's Brand affiliate tag and checks it stayed up. The free ThreadFox Lite reads rules too.
