What this page is

This page quotes r/YouTubeEditorForHire's rules as ThreadFox read them on 2026-10-12. The quoted text is the community's; the verdict above is our reading of it. Conditions often decide whether a post fits (a required thread, flair, posting day, account age or karma), and r/YouTubeEditorForHire's current rules on Reddit always win over this page.

Free, for a specific product: a researched Reddit plan by email (communities whose rules fit your post, quoted and dated), or ThreadFox Lite, read-only tools an AI assistant can use to read a community's current rules itself, through your own Chrome (Claude Code: claude mcp add threadfox-lite -- uvx threadfox-lite). For an assistant that also writes and posts within each community's rules, the ThreadFox kit is $49 once.

Want to post here? Get ThreadFox ($49): your AI (Claude Desktop, Claude Code or Codex) reads a community's current rules, writes one post that fits and posts once from your own Chrome. No Claude? We'll post for you ($49 per 30-day campaign). Free: a Reddit launch plan for your product, ThreadFox Lite or the posting checklist by email.

What its rules say about promotion

Link Your Portfolio
You must include a link to your portfolio or examples of your work in your post. Posts without a portfolio or work samples will be removed.
For Hire
Tag your post for Hire tag if you are looking to get hired. You must also include a link to your portfolio or examples of your work. Posts that do not follow these requirements will be removed.
Free work as an Editor NOT an employer
You’re welcome to be an editor looking to volunteer your services for free, but you may not advertise a job posting that seeks unpaid labor or effectively asks editors to work for free. This includes offers such as “I’ll pay you when I make money.” If you believe your project will generate revenue, you should be prepared to invest in it and pay your editor accordingly. Pay rates must also be reasonable and appropriate for US-based editors and editors in comparable markets.

    1. Your post will be removed, and you may be banned for repeated violations if you offer a budget below $15 per hour or $120 flat rate. These are the minimum rates for basic jobs. You must include your budget at the bottom of the post, in brackets. For example: ($15 HOURLY) or ($120 FLAT).

What the written rules don't show

  • Unpublished minimums. Many communities remove posts from new or low-karma accounts through AutoModerator settings that are not on the rules page, often before a moderator sees them.
  • Reddit's own filters. Reddit's site-wide spam filters can remove posts from accounts that mostly share links to their own site, in any community.
  • The community's norms. Many communities see themselves as peers, not an audience: post where you already take part, and make the post worth reading without the link.
