What this page is

This page quotes r/Yugioh101's rules as ThreadFox read them on 2026-10-12. The quoted text is the community's; the verdict above is our reading of it. Conditions often decide whether a post fits (a required thread, flair, posting day, account age or karma), and r/Yugioh101's current rules on Reddit always win over this page.

Free, for a specific product: a researched Reddit plan by email (communities whose rules fit your post, quoted and dated), or ThreadFox Lite, read-only tools an AI assistant can use to read a community's current rules itself, through your own Chrome (Claude Code: claude mcp add threadfox-lite -- uvx threadfox-lite). For an assistant that also writes and posts within each community's rules, the ThreadFox kit is $49 once.

Want to post here? Get ThreadFox ($49): your AI (Claude Desktop, Claude Code or Codex) reads a community's current rules, writes one post that fits and posts once from your own Chrome. No Claude? We'll post for you ($49 per 30-day campaign). Free: a Reddit launch plan for your product, ThreadFox Lite or the posting checklist by email.

What its rules say about promotion

Posts must be for learning about playing Yu-Gi-Oh!
If the question will help you with playing the game, it should be allowed here. For example, you can ask about the game's rules. You can ask for help with your deck, or how to play it better. You can ask for information about other decks, like which ones are the best. You can't post just to share your opinion about something. You can't ask about how to make money, or sell your collection. When responding to questions, you should give genuine answers which are attempting to be helpful.

All 3 rules of r/Yugioh101

Be respectful
Being rude is punished by an immediate ban. If you see an extremely basic question, or someone not understanding something simple, that's okay. That's what Yugioh101 is for. Don't respond with things like _"Just read the rulebook"_, _"Read the card"_, or _"Google it"_.

Do not give misinformation, or use jargon
If you are unsure of the answer, please don't respond to the question. Please don't use any of the jargon listed in this post: [_A Guide to the Rules Behind the Jargon_](https://redd.it/k4ky6f).

What the written rules don't show

Unpublished minimums. Many communities remove posts from new or low-karma accounts through AutoModerator settings that are not on the rules page, often before a moderator sees them.
Reddit's own filters. Reddit's site-wide spam filters can remove posts from accounts that mostly share links to their own site, in any community.
The community's norms. Many communities see themselves as peers, not an audience: post where you already take part, and make the post worth reading without the link.

Let your AI read the rules before it posts.

ThreadFox reads a community's current rules, writes a post that fits them, posts once with Reddit's Brand affiliate tag and checks it stayed up. The free ThreadFox Lite reads rules too.
