What this page is
This page quotes r/Artadvice's rules as ThreadFox read them on 2026-10-05. The quoted text is the community's; the verdict above is our reading of it. Conditions often decide whether a post fits (a required thread, flair, posting day, account age or karma), and r/Artadvice's current rules on Reddit always win over this page.
Free, for a specific product: a researched Reddit plan by email (communities whose rules fit your post, quoted and dated), or ThreadFox Lite, read-only tools an AI assistant can use to read a community's current rules itself, through your own Chrome (Claude Code: claude mcp add threadfox-lite -- uvx threadfox-lite). For an assistant that also writes and posts within each community's rules, the ThreadFox kit is $49 once.
Want to post here? Get ThreadFox ($49): your AI (Claude Desktop, Claude Code or Codex) reads a community's current rules, writes one post that fits and posts once from your own Chrome. No Claude? Not allowed: - Showcase-only posts. - "Is this worth/fair?" pricing questions. - Joke, meme, or low-context submissions. - Be Constructive & Respectful
Feedback must focus on the artwork, address the question, and support improvement. - Critique the work, not the artist. - Disagreement is allowed, but remain civil and relevant. Not allowed: - Dismissive, insulting, or hostile comments. - Personal attacks. - Deliberate derailment or bad-faith arguing. - Policing how others communicate based only on grammar, language ability, or tone. - No Plagiarism or Accusations

Not allowed: - Presenting others' work as your own. - Hiding direct copying while claiming originality. - Public plagiarism accusations without clear evidence. Report suspected plagiarism to moderators via Mod Mail. - Keep Art Human (No AI)

Not allowed: - Commission ads. - Unsolicited shop or social links. - Referral links or crowdfunding. - Repeated promotion in unrelated discussions. - No Low-Effort Participation
Posts and comments must contribute meaningfully. Short answers are allowed when useful, but unsupported reactions or filler are not. Not allowed: - Short-form answers (i.e. "yes"/"no") with no explanation. - Generic advice that adds little to no value. - Copy-pasted or repetitive replies. - Text stretched only to appear substantive. Example: "No, the anatomy is off" is low effort. "The anatomy feels off because the shoulder sits too high relative to the ribcage" is useful critique. - No Trolling or Bad Faith
Participate in good faith. Users who are here primarily to provoke, disrupt, mislead, or waste others' time are not welcome. Not allowed: - Trolling or baiting. - Deliberately provoking arguments. - Posting false or malicious advice. - Repeatedly derailing discussions. - Rule circumvention or other deliberate disruption. - Posting Requirements
All posts must follow community posting requirements. - Use the correct flair. - Tag NSFW content properly. Not allowed: - Aggregated link posts. - Sexual explicit content. - Off-topic political discussion. - Duplicate posts on the same topic within 24 hours. - Disclosure or solicitation of a minor's age. - Attempts to bypass posting requirements through filler or formatting tricks.
What the written rules don't show
- Unpublished minimums. Many communities remove posts from new or low-karma accounts through AutoModerator settings that are not on the rules page, often before a moderator sees them.
- Reddit's own filters. Reddit's site-wide spam filters can remove posts from accounts that mostly share links to their own site, in any community.
- The community's norms. Many communities see themselves as peers, not an audience: post where you already take part, and make the post worth reading without the link.
