Free, for a specific product: a researched Reddit plan by email (communities whose rules fit your post, quoted and dated), or ThreadFox Lite, read-only tools an AI assistant can use to read a community's current rules itself, through your own Chrome (Claude Code: claude mcp add threadfox-lite -- uvx threadfox-lite). For an assistant that also writes and posts within each community's rules, the ThreadFox kit is $49 once.

Want to post here? Get ThreadFox ($49): your AI (Claude Desktop, Claude Code or Codex) reads a community's current rules, writes one post that fits and posts once from your own Chrome. No Claude? We'll post for you ($99 per 30-day campaign). Free: a Reddit launch plan for your product, ThreadFox Lite or the posting checklist by email.

Bogleheads are passive investors who follow Jack Bogle's simple but powerful message to diversify with low-cost index funds and let compounding grow wealth. Jack founded Vanguard and pioneered indexed mutual funds. His work has since inspired others to get the most out of their long-term investments. Active managers want your money - our advice: keep it! How? Investing in broad-market low-cost indexes, diversified between equities and fixed income. Buy, hold, pay low fees, and stay the course!

No spam or self-promotion
We don't allow promoting products/services or content made by the poster, or advertising anything monetized by the poster.
No off-topic content
Guidelines: stick to finance topics relevant to the Bogleheads passive investment philosophy We don't allow: * Discussion of topics with no clear connection to passive investing * Promotion of non-Bogleheads-related investment strategies such as stock-picking, market-timing, or cryptocurrencies) * Overly-political content: more political than financial, more partisan than necessary, or framing political opinions as facts * Joke/meme comments.

What its rules say about AI and bots

No incivility
Guidelines: be civil to others; presume good faith We don't allow: * Personal attacks or insults * Negative descriptions of groups * Slurs or vulgar language * Public discussion of whether content is AI generated. Concerns about rule breaking justify using Reddit’s reporting system or messaging the mod team, not breaking sub rules yourself.
No non-substantive content
Guidelines: make a relevant contribution, explain your reasoning, support your claims. For example, we don't allow: * Content that isn’t principally your own creation (including AI-generated responses) or that fails to give attribution to its source * Yes/no answers, ticker symbols, emojis, or short answers without explanation * Milestone or progress posts, except for effortposts with extensive background/context * Low quality/effort content such as jokes, memes, or comment chains * Trolling

What the written rules don't show

  • Unpublished minimums. Many communities remove posts from new or low-karma accounts through AutoModerator settings that are not on the rules page, often before a moderator sees them.
  • Reddit's own filters. Reddit's site-wide spam filters can remove posts from accounts that mostly share links to their own site, in any community.
  • The community's norms. Many communities see themselves as peers, not an audience: post where you already take part, and make the post worth reading without the link.

Let your AI read the rules before it posts.

ThreadFox reads a community's current rules, writes a post that fits them, posts once with Reddit's Brand affiliate tag and checks it stayed up. The free ThreadFox Lite reads rules too.
