What its rules say about AI and bots
Stay on topic.
Discussion topics for this subreddit should specifically be about the Call of Cthulhu roleplaying game by Chaosium. There are more appropriate subreddits for general Lovecraftian topics, such as r/lovecraft, and more general tabletop roleplaying topics, such as r/rpg. The requirements for "relevance" for AI-produced-content are higher than for that created by an artist or author, and these can be found here: https://www.reddit.com/r/callofcthulhu/comments/10yp0vw/mod_update_ai_art/
Images should be directly relevant to Call of Cthulhu the TTRPG.
This can include artwork you have produced for your game, art of your characters etc. It does not include images you have found online or made that are just lovecraftian or of monsters. Please make it clear in the post title how your art specifically relates to the game. Additionally, we have a higher benchmark for AI-Generated art. More information can be found here: https://www.reddit.com/r/callofcthulhu/comments/yy117a/mod_post_rules_clarification_for_aigenerated_art/
No AI-generated content or discussion of the use of AI
Enquiring whether AI was used during the creation of something is allowed. Please do not outright accuse someone of generating something with AI without EXTREMELY comprehensive proof. If someone responds to your question stating that AI is categorically not used in the creation of the work they have shared, that is the end of the discussion. Further scepticism or disbelief will be removed.

What the written rules don't show
- Unpublished minimums. Many communities remove posts from new or low-karma accounts through AutoModerator settings that are not on the rules page, often before a moderator sees them.
- Reddit's own filters. Reddit's site-wide spam filters can remove posts from accounts that mostly share links to their own site, in any community.
- The community's norms. Many communities see themselves as peers, not an audience: post where you already take part, and make the post worth reading without the link.
Let your AI read the rules before it posts.
ThreadFox reads a community's current rules, writes a post that fits them, posts once with Reddit's Brand affiliate tag and checks it stayed up. The free ThreadFox Lite reads rules too.
