What this page is

This page quotes r/casualconlang's rules as ThreadFox read them on 2026-10-12. The quoted text is the community's; the verdict above is our reading of it. Conditions often decide whether a post fits (a required thread, flair, posting day, account age or karma), and r/casualconlang's current rules on Reddit always win over this page.

Free, for a specific product: a researched Reddit plan by email (communities whose rules fit your post, quoted and dated), or ThreadFox Lite, read-only tools an AI assistant can use to read a community's current rules itself, through your own Chrome (Claude Code: claude mcp add threadfox-lite -- uvx threadfox-lite). For an assistant that also writes and posts within each community's rules, the ThreadFox kit is $49 once.

Want to post here? Get ThreadFox ($49): your AI (Claude Desktop, Claude Code or Codex) reads a community's current rules, writes one post that fits and posts once from your own Chrome. No Claude? We'll post for you ($49 per 30-day campaign). Free: a Reddit launch plan for your product, ThreadFox Lite or the posting checklist by email.

This is a beginner friendly subreddit dedicated to the art of conlanging! Please make sure to join r/conlangs as well! We have a recuitment link for people looking to be a moderator. What its rules say about AI and bots

AI Policy
Posts featuring a language that appears to have used AI in generating any of its features/systems from scratch will be removed. This is a creative sub. AI can be used in the process of organizing, but not in designing the language itself. Vibecoded software is allowed.
All 7 rules of r/casualconlang
  1. Don't be rude
We do not tolerate any insults or discrimination. Remember that this platform was originally designed as a space for beginner and casual conlangers.
  2. Stay on topic
This is a conlang community—posts that are unrelated to the subject will be promptly deleted Relexes are defined by replacing the words in a language like English while keeping grammar and syntax the same. Pig Latin and relexes are not in the spirit of this subreddit.
  3. Sensitive content
NSFW content is allowed as long as it follows Rule 2, is marked as 18+, and respects Reddit’s policies. It may still be removed if found inappropriate. As per a recent mod decision, posts and comments referencing real world politics is not allowed on this subreddit.
  4. No spam
Posts considered spam that share suspicious links will be deleted.
  5. AI Policy
Posts featuring a language that appears to have used AI in generating any of its features/systems from scratch will be removed. This is a creative sub. AI can be used in the process of organizing, but not in designing the language itself. Vibecoded software is allowed.
  6. Moderator Discretion
Please use common sense, follow the intent of this subreddt rather than the letter of the rules. We will not ban people, unless we repeatedly warn them. And if in doubt ask, or just post it anyways, it doesn't really matter. If your post breaks the rules we will politely remove it.
  7. Posting Guidelines
Zero-context phonology and orthography posts are not allowed. This applies to posts that have little substance beyond: - a phonemic inventory - a letter-sound correspondence list - an alphabet or syllabary table

What the written rules don't show

  • Unpublished minimums. Many communities remove posts from new or low-karma accounts through AutoModerator settings that are not on the rules page, often before a moderator sees them.
  • Reddit's own filters. Reddit's site-wide spam filters can remove posts from accounts that mostly share links to their own site, in any community.
  • The community's norms. Many communities see themselves as peers, not an audience: post where you already take part, and make the post worth reading without the link.

Let your AI read the rules before it posts.

ThreadFox reads a community's current rules, writes a post that fits them, posts once with Reddit's Brand affiliate tag and checks it stayed up. The free ThreadFox Lite reads rules too.
