All 9 rules of r/creepypasta
- Accounts must be 3 days old with positive karma to post.
Your account must be at least 3 days old, with a positive karma count to post here. This rule is in place to cut down on spam and throwaway accounts. - Practice acceptable conduct.
Don't attack other users, and follow Reddit's conduct guidelines. (IE: No bigoted comments, no doxxing, etc.) Offer constructive feedback. If you disagree with someone, be civil. Overly rude and nonconstructive content will be dealt with appropriately. You may be instantly banned without warning for infringing behavior. - Posts must be relevant to Creepypasta.
Relevant material includes famous Creepypastas, art about Creepypastas, narrations, and other media. You can post your original works as long as they are related to the Creepypasta genre. Not all dark or horror pieces are related and mods will exercise their discretion in removing unrelated material. - Posts must conform to intellectual property laws and Reddit terms of use.

If you are posting your original work, please be aware of Reddit’s terms of use when posting content to this site. Do not post AI-generated content without noting that it was made using AI. - Don't post low-effort or stolen content, overused memes, or "chain letter" threads.
Do not repost old jokes, images, and so on. This includes "carpeted kitchen", "fettuccine afraido", reposting images of Jeff/SmileDog with no new added content, and similar things you didn't come up with and which have been posted thousands of times. - Do not post photos of gore or corpses.
Do not post gore photos or photos of recently dead humans or animals. Ancient remains are fine, illustrations are fine, but photos of real murders or horrific accidents and the like are not allowed. Similarly, simple shock content is not considered Creepypasta-related. - Tag content appropriately (including NSFW) and do not post pornography.
Use appropriate tags for NSFW work, Trollpastas, meta discussions, narrations, podcasts, videos, and other relevant categories. Mods will change or add flair as they see fit. Do not post actual pornographic content. - Don't post content likely to incite hate or harassment.
Do not post content that is likely to lead to negative results for a real person or persons. This includes, but is not limited to, posting a photo of someone you dislike as "Ugly Monster" and/or posting "Creepy Phone Number" threads due to the amount of people who have and will continue to post the numbers of people they dislike. - Let the Mods to do to the do their thing to do.
Mods will exercise their best discretion to remove infringing content and abusive behavior. Feel free to message the mods to report content, behavior, or with any questions regarding these rules.
What the written rules don't show
- Unpublished minimums. Many communities remove posts from new or low-karma accounts through AutoModerator settings that are not on the rules page, often before a moderator sees them.
- Reddit's own filters. Reddit's site-wide spam filters can remove posts from accounts that mostly share links to their own site, in any community.
- The community's norms. Many communities see themselves as peers, not an audience: post where you already take part, and make the post worth reading without the link.
Let your AI read the rules before it posts.
