What this page is
This page quotes r/Cryptozoology's rules as ThreadFox read them on 2026-10-13. The quoted text is the community's; the verdict above is our reading of it. Conditions often decide whether a post fits (a required thread, flair, posting day, account age or karma), and r/Cryptozoology's current rules on Reddit always win over this page.
Free, for a specific product: a researched Reddit plan by email (communities whose rules fit your post, quoted and dated), or ThreadFox Lite, read-only tools an AI assistant can use to read a community's current rules itself, through your own Chrome (Claude Code: claude mcp add threadfox-lite -- uvx threadfox-lite). This subreddit is NOT about the Paranormal. Please keep submissions on-topic and related to the subject of [Cryptozoology](https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Cryptozoology). Submissions that fall under the category of /r/Paranormal, such as Ghosts, Demons, Vampires, Werewolves, and Aliens/[UFOs](https://www.reddit.com/r/UFOs/) will be removed. You can talk about the folklore/theorize about what potentially explains the sightings though - Overzealous Skepticism or Belief
Please do not belittle other posters' beliefs or disbelief in Cryptozoological species. If you don't believe in a given creature, that is certainly fine, but don't be rude or mean towards people who do. You can believe in every cryptid or none of them, just be respectful while discussing it - Cryptocurrency Posts

Linking to sites overloaded with adds and pop-ups, or sites whose content creators are veritably insane, will not be accepted. Refusing a request to source a claim may also result in your post being taken down - Limited Art Posts

All posts must be related to cryptozoology. New species discoveries/rediscoveries must be significant (like a new megafauna) or related to cryptids in some way. One-off escaped animals are also not significant. - No Reposts
If you're posting about a recent news story or a new article, please check that it hasn't been posted here before recently - Be nice to people asking questions.
If someone is genuinely asking a question off topic unhelpful non answers will be removed. If someone gets something wrong just correct them, don't berate them
What the written rules don't show
- Unpublished minimums. Many communities remove posts from new or low-karma accounts through AutoModerator settings that are not on the rules page, often before a moderator sees them.
- Reddit's own filters. Reddit's site-wide spam filters can remove posts from accounts that mostly share links to their own site, in any community.
- The community's norms. Many communities see themselves as peers, not an audience: post where you already take part, and make the post worth reading without the link.
Let your AI read the rules before it posts.
ThreadFox reads a community's current rules, writes a post that fits them, posts once with Reddit's Brand affiliate tag and checks it stayed up. The free ThreadFox Lite reads rules too.
