What this page is

This page quotes r/EmulationOnAndroid's rules as ThreadFox read them on 2026-10-12. The quoted text is the community's; the verdict above is our reading of it. Conditions often decide whether a post fits (a required thread, flair, posting day, account age or karma), and r/EmulationOnAndroid's current rules on Reddit always win over this page.

Free, for a specific product: a researched Reddit plan by email (communities whose rules fit your post, quoted and dated), or ThreadFox Lite, read-only tools an AI assistant can use to read a community's current rules itself, through your own Chrome (Claude Code: claude mcp add threadfox-lite -- uvx threadfox-lite). For an assistant that also writes and posts within each community's rules, the ThreadFox kit is $49 once.

Want to post here? Get ThreadFox ($49): your AI (Claude Desktop, Claude Code or Codex) reads a community's current rules, writes one post that fits and posts once from your own Chrome. No Claude? We'll post for you ($49 per 30-day campaign). Free: a Reddit launch plan for your product, ThreadFox Lite or the posting checklist by email.

What its rules say about AI and bots

No AI Slop / Disclose AI
Low-effort AI-generated content, fabricated material, and other AI slop may be removed. Any use of generative AI must be clearly disclosed, including AI-assisted development, images, logos, banners, videos, text, concepts, or other generated assets. AI-generated content may still be used when it supports an otherwise substantive post or discussion.
All 9 rules of r/EmulationOnAndroid
  1. Be kind and respectful to each other.
It's okay to disagree, but don't be a dick about it. Name calling and being offensive towards other users **will result in a ban**.
  2. Do not post direct links to ROMs and other pirated content.
Posting direct links to ROMs and other pirated content will not be tolerated and **will result in a ban**.
  3. Assign a flair to your post prior to submitting.
**[DISCUSSION]** - For every other on-topic subject that doesn't really fit in any of the other categories. **[FAN CONTENT]** - For art or other media created by users/fans. **[HELP]** - For assistance with emulator issues. **[MEMES]** - For memes and other humorous content. **[NEWS]** - For announcements about new emulator releases or updates. **[QUESTION]** - For emulation questions about software, hardware, or other emulation topics. **[SOLVED]** - For questions that have been answered.
  4. Name your device brand and model.
When posting gameplay, asking for help, or asking a question, please include the brand and model of your device. This helps ensure relevant discussions, allows others to assist you more effectively, and helps reduce spam.
  5. No Low-Effort Posts or Help Without Research
Before posting, search this sub, Reddit, YouTube, and Google for solutions. When seeking help: Confirm you've searched, describe the issue, include device details, and share what you've already tried. Screenshots help! Example: "Getting audio stuttering in Wind Waker on RP5. Searched this sub/Google, tried changing to OpenSL ES and lowering buffer, but still happening. Any fixes?" Posts with a clear lack of research effort may be removed. This keeps discussions productive and reduces duplicates.
  6. Post titles should be informative
When making a post please ensure the title contains a brief overview of the content.
  7. Misinformation / Malicious / Fraudulent Content
Posts or comments containing scams, phishing attempts, fake emulator downloads, malicious APKs, deceptive links, impersonation, or other fraudulent activity are strictly prohibited. This includes links to unofficial builds designed to mislead users or collect personal information. Reports under this rule help moderators quickly remove harmful content and protect the community.
  8. No Drama
    Don't make drama posts.

What the written rules don't show

  • Unpublished minimums. Many communities remove posts from new or low-karma accounts through AutoModerator settings that are not on the rules page, often before a moderator sees them.
  • Reddit's own filters. Reddit's site-wide spam filters can remove posts from accounts that mostly share links to their own site, in any community.
  • The community's norms. Many communities see themselves as peers, not an audience: post where you already take part, and make the post worth reading without the link.

Let your AI read the rules before it posts.

ThreadFox reads a community's current rules, writes a post that fits them, posts once with Reddit's Brand affiliate tag and checks it stayed up. The free ThreadFox Lite reads rules too.
