What its rules say about promotion
No Self Promotion
No blatant self promotion is allowed. If your post exists only to promote your own shop or listings, it will be removed. Sharing your shop as an example within a helpful post is fine.
Posts Must be Etsy Related
Only posts related to Etsy or selling on Etsy are allowed. We are called EtsyHelp after all!
Add context when sharing links or videos
If you share a link, video, tool, or external resource, you must include a written explanation in your post. Tell us what it is, how you've used it, and why you found it helpful. Posts that are just a link or video with no context will be removed. This keeps the community useful and stops promotional spam.

What the written rules don't show
- Unpublished minimums. Many communities remove posts from new or low-karma accounts through AutoModerator settings that are not on the rules page, often before a moderator sees them.
- Reddit's own filters. Reddit's site-wide spam filters can remove posts from accounts that mostly share links to their own site, in any community.
- The community's norms. Many communities see themselves as peers, not an audience: post where you already take part, and make the post worth reading without the link.
