What this page is
This page quotes r/Eve's rules as ThreadFox read them on 2026-10-12. The quoted text is the community's; the verdict above is our reading of it. Conditions often decide whether a post fits (a required thread, flair, posting day, account age or karma), and r/Eve's current rules on Reddit always win over this page.
Free, for a specific product: a researched Reddit plan by email (communities whose rules fit your post, quoted and dated), or ThreadFox Lite, read-only tools an AI assistant can use to read a community's current rules itself, through your own Chrome (Claude Code: claude mcp add threadfox-lite -- uvx threadfox-lite). For an assistant that also writes and posts within each community's rules, the ThreadFox kit is $49 once.
Want to post here? Get ThreadFox ($49): your AI (Claude Desktop, Claude Code or Codex) reads a community's current rules, writes one post that fits and posts once from your own Chrome. No Claude? What its rules say about AI and bots
No AI slop
AI slop pushes out real content creators and diminishes the quality of content posted to the subreddit. This subreddit has a rich history of creators making high quality content people enjoy and talk about for years after, often even their low quality content is better than something created by AI.
All 15 rules of r/Eve
- No IRL politics. There are plenty of subreddits for political discussion, this isn't one of them.
No IRL politics or references to IRL politics or politicians. - Memes may be removed at moderator discretion.
High quality memes - High quality memes created using a combination of EVE Online assets, advanced edits on gifs/images/videos, creative works, etc can be posted at any time. Regular memes, reaction gifs, image macros, crude edits, etc may be removed at moderator discretion if they overwhelm the subreddit. - No referral links.

BRR / ARR Threads must be self posts and have context. Low effort link submissions will be removed. Self posts must have some form of explanation. It is fine to edit information into the BRR / ARR thread as it becomes available. By submitting one you agree to attempt to provide some form of context. Single kill BR's are at the moderators discretion. Generally adding some context is needed but we understand for single kills it's self explanatory and / or there isn't much to say. - Moderation Discussion
Moderation action should be discussed in Modmail directly between the affected user and the moderators. Modmail will be responded to within 72 hours - which grants time for the original mod to answer, other moderators may respond before this time period. Posting about mod actions on behalf of yourself or others is not permitted and may result in a ban. If you disagree with a moderator decision you can raise the issue to the Reddit Admins. Any rule discussion must be **in good faith** - No Doxxing or sharing information that could identify someone IRL.
No doxxing of any kind will be tolerated. No personal information, phone numbers, email addresses about individuals are allowed. - Content must be EVE-related
Content must be directly referencing the game, rather than a trope or theme of the game. Eve is a game about spaceships, combat, scams & espionage, industry, and many more things. However, not all Spaceships, space-related things, scams, and espionage are related to EVE. No pictures of dinosaurs. We know TEST has a dino logo. Posting a picture of a guy in a dinosaur costume is not original and is posted 2 or 3 times a day. Same goes for Goons with bees. - Recruitment must be posted in the weekly recruitment thread, or to /r/evejobs
There is a dedicated weekly thread for recruiting. Post there, to evejobs, or not at all. - No fundraising
Due to historic scams, fundraising, kickstarters, go-fund-me's etc are not allowed without prior permission. In 99% of scenarios permission will be declined, especially for any person gofundmes. - Posts must adhere to EVE EULA
Don't post things that break EVE EULA such as botting, real world trading, exploits, etc - No URL Shorterners. No clickbait.
URLs in links should be in a full form with preview available. Posts should not be titled in a clickbait fashion. - No AI slop
AI slop pushes out real content creators and diminishes the quality of content posted to the subreddit. This subreddit has a rich history of creators making high quality content people enjoy and talk about for years after, often even their low quality content is better than something created by AI. - No polls, strawpolls or surveys of any kind
No polls or strawpolls. This includes student research projects, strawpolls of any kind, surveys of any kind and so on. R/eve gets multiple requests per week of this nature and as such the answer will flatly be no. - Follow Reddiquette
Remember the human, this is EVE - but try and be civil. https://www.reddit.com/wiki/reddiquette
What the written rules don't show
- Unpublished minimums. Many communities remove posts from new or low-karma accounts through AutoModerator settings that are not on the rules page, often before a moderator sees them.
- Reddit's own filters. Reddit's site-wide spam filters can remove posts from accounts that mostly share links to their own site, in any community.
- The community's norms. Many communities see themselves as peers, not an audience: post where you already take part, and make the post worth reading without the link.
Let your AI read the rules before it posts.
ThreadFox reads a community's current rules, writes a post that fits them, posts once with Reddit's Brand affiliate tag and checks it stayed up. The free ThreadFox Lite reads rules too.
