What this page is

This page quotes r/ExploringTarot's rules as ThreadFox read them on 2026-10-10. The quoted text is the community's; the verdict above is our reading of it. Conditions often decide whether a post fits (a required thread, flair, posting day, account age or karma), and r/ExploringTarot's current rules on Reddit always win over this page.

Free, for a specific product: a researched Reddit plan by email (communities whose rules fit your post, quoted and dated), or ThreadFox Lite, read-only tools an AI assistant can use to read a community's current rules itself, through your own Chrome (Claude Code: claude mcp add threadfox-lite -- uvx threadfox-lite). For an assistant that also writes and posts within each community's rules, the ThreadFox kit is $49 once.

Want to post here? Get ThreadFox ($49): your AI (Claude Desktop, Claude Code or Codex) reads a community's current rules, writes one post that fits and posts once from your own Chrome. No Claude? We'll post for you ($99 per 30-day campaign). Free: a Reddit launch plan for your product, ThreadFox Lite or the posting checklist by email.

Let’s nerd out over the cards! Bring your interpretations to exchanges, play tarot-related games, and refine your skills. We’re a learning community: share your reads, show your work, ask questions, and grow as a reader. Beginner questions belong in our megathread (highlighted post). No free readings or self-promotion: tarot here is practice, not performance. Come curious, engage kindly, and deepen this craft with joy. 💖

What its rules say about promotion

No paid services, self-promotion or marketing funnels.
Do not make posts offering any kind of readings, products, teachings, or courses to promote your services, whether hosted on reddit or on external platforms. Posts or comments that violate this rule will be removed and result in a ban.

What its rules say about AI and bots

🛑 No "free readings".
Posts offering 'free readings via DM', AI-generated readings, or posts that only list cards/images without your own interpretation will be removed. Comments that only say "dm'd" or "interested" will also be removed. We are here for skill-building, not free services.
All 9 rules of r/ExploringTarot
  1. 🛑 No "free readings".
Posts offering 'free readings via DM', AI-generated readings, or posts that only list cards/images without your own interpretation will be removed. Comments that only say "dm'd" or "interested" will also be removed. We are here for skill-building, not free services.
  2. No paid services, self-promotion or marketing funnels.
Do not make posts offering any kind of readings, products, teachings, or courses to promote your services, whether hosted on reddit or on external platforms. Posts or comments that violate this rule will be removed and result in a ban.
  3. No low-effort posts.
Add your question, your interpretation of each card, and your overall take on the reading. If using a spread, include the card positions. Rotate images before posting. Posts that don't meet these requirements may be removed.
  4. "How to start reading the tarot."
Beginner questions belong here: https://www.reddit.com/r/ExploringTarot/comments/1vo6xu3/beginners_read_this_first/. Posts outside the megathread asking for basic guidance, card meanings, deck recommendations or other beginner topics will be removed.
  5. Ground interpretations in card symbolism.
Posts or comments that present interpretations as divine messages, psychic revelations, or objective spiritual truths (e.g., “the cards told me,” “spirit confirmed,” “this is fated”) will be removed. Faith-based perspectives are welcome when framed explicitly as personal interpretive lenses, but not as factual assertions.
  6. No fear-mongering.
Comments must be grounded in the cards. Do not post alarming keywords without explaining which card led to that conclusion. Tarot is about reading symbols, not guessing worst-case scenarios. If your interpretation doesn't point to a card, it’s not a reading.
  7. Interpretation help - Second opinion only
A second opinion requires a first opinion to compare against. Without the original interpretation, this is simply a request for a free reading. We are here to help you refine your skills, but we won't give free readings. Posts without a first opinion will be removed within 24h without further notice.
  8. Leave meaningful feedback
"Thank you" is not enough. We are here for mutual improvement, not free readings. When someone practices on your situation, tell them specifically which parts of the interpretation resonated or felt accurate. This feedback is essential for the reader's growth and helps refine their intuition. Posts or comments that do not provide this feedback may be removed.
  9. Respect Moderation
We don't get paid to do this, we do this voluntarily and on our own time when we have it. Publicly critiquing mod decisions or giving unsolicited advice on how to run the sub isn't allowed. Harassing mods gets you an instant ban. Mods reserve the right to remove content or ban users at their discretion to keep the community on track and to maintain community standards.

What the written rules don't show

  • Unpublished minimums. Many communities remove posts from new or low-karma accounts through AutoModerator settings that are not on the rules page, often before a moderator sees them.
  • Reddit's own filters. Reddit's site-wide spam filters can remove posts from accounts that mostly share links to their own site, in any community.
  • The community's norms. Many communities see themselves as peers, not an audience: post where you already take part, and make the post worth reading without the link.

Let your AI read the rules before it posts.

ThreadFox reads a community's current rules, writes a post that fits them, posts once with Reddit's Brand affiliate tag and checks it stayed up. The free ThreadFox Lite reads rules too.
