What this page is
This page quotes r/fermenting's rules as ThreadFox read them on 2026-10-12. The quoted text is the community's; the verdict above is our reading of it. Conditions often decide whether a post fits (a required thread, flair, posting day, account age or karma), and r/fermenting's current rules on Reddit always win over this page.
Free, for a specific product: a researched Reddit plan by email (communities whose rules fit your post, quoted and dated), or ThreadFox Lite, read-only tools an AI assistant can use to read a community's current rules itself, through your own Chrome (Claude Code: claude mcp add threadfox-lite -- uvx threadfox-lite). For an assistant that also writes and posts within each community's rules, the ThreadFox kit is $49 once.
Want to post here? Get ThreadFox ($49): your AI (Claude Desktop, Claude Code or Codex) reads a community's current rules, writes one post that fits and posts once from your own Chrome. No Claude? We'll post for you ($49 per 30-day campaign). Free: a Reddit launch plan for your product, ThreadFox Lite or the posting checklist by email.

What its rules say about promotion
Be Respectful
Be nice to others and promote productive discussions. Do not be mean or rude—there's a difference between tough love and being rude. As a community, we should help each other and not put each other down. Remember that we all have been beginners at some point. We all had questions and worries. If you cannot be nice, move on.
Do Not Spam
No buying, selling, advertising, or links to commercial pages. Do not just spam out your links--especially if they are affiliate links. Do not blindly upvote your own content or ask anyone else to. Try to be a good member of the community and be helpful first.
What its rules say about AI and bots
No A.I.
Fermentation is all about manifesting and continuing culture, using slow natural processes. Although it may not seem obvious that A.I. might be used here—and hopefully it wont—using A.I. images and/or text could lead to individuals fermenting improperly, and potentially even in ways that are hazardous to their health. A.I. is is the antithesis of fermentation.

What the written rules don't show
- Unpublished minimums. Many communities remove posts from new or low-karma accounts through AutoModerator settings that are not on the rules page, often before a moderator sees them.
- Reddit's own filters. Reddit's site-wide spam filters can remove posts from accounts that mostly share links to their own site, in any community.
- The community's norms. Many communities see themselves as peers, not an audience: post where you already take part, and make the post worth reading without the link.
Let your AI read the rules before it posts.
ThreadFox reads a community's current rules, writes a post that fits them, posts once with Reddit's Brand affiliate tag and checks it stayed up. The free ThreadFox Lite reads rules too.
