What this page is

This page quotes r/footballmanagergames's rules as ThreadFox read them on 2026-10-11. The quoted text is the community's; the verdict above is our reading of it. Conditions often decide whether a post fits (a required thread, flair, posting day, account age or karma), and r/footballmanagergames's current rules on Reddit always win over this page.

Free, for a specific product: a researched Reddit plan by email (communities whose rules fit your post, quoted and dated), or ThreadFox Lite, read-only tools an AI assistant can use to read a community's current rules itself, through your own Chrome (Claude Code: claude mcp add threadfox-lite -- uvx threadfox-lite). For an assistant that also writes and posts within each community's rules, the ThreadFox kit is $49 once.

All 12 rules of r/footballmanagergames
  1. Flair your submissions
Please ensure that you give your submission an appropriate flair.
  2. Don't beg for free games
Please don't beg for free copies of the games. Sob stories aren't cool.
  3. Only post things related to Football Manager
This sub is for the Football Manager series of games created by Sports Interactive. Championship Manager is also allowed. Submissions about other games will be removed.
  4. Make sure images/videos posted are of good quality.
Pictures/videos taken with your phone are okay, but please make sure it is cropped appropriately, there is no screen glare, no shakiness, etc
  5. Don't post asking for help with someone specific to you/your save
If you need help with something that is specific to you/your save, post in the Weekly Help Thread
  6. No "FM IRL" submissions
If you see something happen in real life that also happens in FM, such as a weird goal or transfer, please do not post it here. It isn't related to FM simply because it is a thing that happens in the game.
  7. No Piracy
Discussion of piracy of any kind is prohibited. This includes, but is not limited to, asking where to get pirated versions of the game, advising others on where to get pirated versions of the game, or asking for help with your pirated version of the game.
  8. No common reposts
Reposts are fine as long as they haven't been posted in quite a while.
  9. Don't be a dick
No one likes it when you try to diminish someone else's achievements, or when you insult them for making mistakes. Just be kind.
  10. No poor titles
Users should know what your post is about just by looking at the title. If you want to ask a question then put the question as the title, there is no need to hide the question behind a less-descriptive title.
  11. No team suggestions
There is a megathread for team suggestions stickied at the top of the subreddit, as well as linked in the sidebar above the rules section. If you want to suggest a team, or want to ask for suggestions, use that thread.
  12. Posts should be English-only
We are an international community so we want to make sure everyone is involved, and also to avoid accidentally fostering a strong non-English community. If you are speaking to someone in the comments to help them with a problem in their native language then that is okay, but posts are strictly English-only.

What the written rules don't show

  • Unpublished minimums. Many communities remove posts from new or low-karma accounts through AutoModerator settings that are not on the rules page, often before a moderator sees them.
  • Reddit's own filters. Reddit's site-wide spam filters can remove posts from accounts that mostly share links to their own site, in any community.
  • The community's norms. Many communities see themselves as peers, not an audience: post where you already take part, and make the post worth reading without the link.
