What this page is

This page quotes r/hinduism's rules as ThreadFox read them on 2026-10-12. The quoted text is the community's; the verdict above is our reading of it. Conditions often decide whether a post fits (a required thread, flair, posting day, account age or karma), and r/hinduism's current rules on Reddit always win over this page.

Free, for a specific product: a researched Reddit plan by email (communities whose rules fit your post, quoted and dated), or ThreadFox Lite, read-only tools an AI assistant can use to read a community's current rules itself, through your own Chrome (Claude Code: claude mcp add threadfox-lite -- uvx threadfox-lite). For an assistant that also writes and posts within each community's rules, the ThreadFox kit is $49 once.

Want to post here? Get ThreadFox ($49): your AI (Claude Desktop, Claude Code or Codex) reads a community's current rules, writes one post that fits and posts once from your own Chrome. No Claude? We'll post for you ($49 per 30-day campaign). Free: a Reddit launch plan for your product, ThreadFox Lite or the posting checklist by email.

its rules on Reddit

Hinduism is also referred to as the Sanātana Dharma (Devanāgarī: सनातन धर्म meaning "eternal dharma"). It is the oldest living religion in the world. Hinduism is a religion as well as a "way of life", and anyone sincerely following that way of life can consider themselves to be a Hindū. What this religion and way of life consists of is a broader topic. Please see our Wiki & FAQs for more info.

What its rules say about promotion

No spam, duplicate posts, self-promotion or excessive promotion
Promoting links to personal websites/blogs/playlists/content with no attempt to generate discussion within reddit will be removed at mods' discretion, and repeat-offenders banned. Duplicate posts will be removed. Mods can be lenient in cases where the poster is a regular contributor to the sub. However, excessive promotion is not allowed.

All image/link/video posts must include a **meaningful** comment by OP
To ensure the quality of this sub is maintained, all image/link/video posts must include a **meaningful** comment (>50 characters) by the OP to promote discussion and engagement with the post. Please use this comment to provide information about the post you shared, or to explain why you chose to share it. If it is a video or article, kindly provide a summary. If no substantive comment is made within 30 minutes of you creating your post it will be automatically removed by the Hinduism_bot.

What its rules say about AI and bots

No low-quality posts (like AI art, FAQs, etc)
Examples of low quality posts/comments: * Content not directly related to Hinduism * Questions that are addressed in the FAQ * Screenshots, Tweets * FB/WhatsApp forwards, memes * Instagram Reels/YT Shorts * AI generated content (art, text) * Any other low-effort posts Please also limit the frequency of your posts to no more than 1 post per 24hrs. We would prefer you to invest energy into ENGAGING other users in dialogue in the comments rather than just spamming posts without commenting.

All 10 rules of r/hinduism

Be polite. No personal attacks or toxic behavior.
Be polite. No personal attacks or toxic behavior. * No personal attacks or name-calling: address the topic, not the user. * Do not attack on the basis of race, color, ethnicity, nationality, religion, gender, or sexual orientation. * Do not quote what they said elsewhere in another context for the purpose of attacking them. * It is the responsibility of each user to **disengage** before escalation. Action will be taken against all parties at mod's discretion.
No hate or discrimination
Hinduism is an all encompassing religion. Your birth in a particular region, community, caste, religion, etc. does not make you superior or inferior to anyone else. Posts or comments maligning individuals or communities based on these aspects will not be tolerated. No Hindumisia/Hinduphobia/hatred against Hindūs or hatred against Idol worship. No evangelism or proselytizism for other religions. Derogatory remarks, calls to violence, insults or any other sort of malice will also be removed.
No politics, articles, meta posts or opinion pieces aimed at generating controversy
Politics, articles or opinion pieces aimed at generating controversy are not allowed. Please restrict news articles to those which contribute towards a better understanding (historical, cultural, social) of the religion. Use r/hindu and r/politicalhinduism for discussing political issues or any other cases. Mods will use their discretion to remove posts which may bring the sub into disrepute.

What the written rules don't show

Unpublished minimums. Many communities remove posts from new or low-karma accounts through AutoModerator settings that are not on the rules page, often before a moderator sees them.
Reddit's own filters. Reddit's site-wide spam filters can remove posts from accounts that mostly share links to their own site, in any community.
The community's norms. Many communities see themselves as peers, not an audience: post where you already take part, and make the post worth reading without the link.

Let your AI read the rules before it posts.

ThreadFox reads a community's current rules, writes a post that fits them, posts once with Reddit's Brand affiliate tag and checks it stayed up. The free ThreadFox Lite reads rules too.
