What this page is
This page quotes r/historyteachers's rules as ThreadFox read them on 2026-10-11. The quoted text is the community's; the verdict above is our reading of it. Conditions often decide whether a post fits (a required thread, flair, posting day, account age or karma), and r/historyteachers's current rules on Reddit always win over this page.
Free, for a specific product: a researched Reddit plan by email (communities whose rules fit your post, quoted and dated), or ThreadFox Lite, read-only tools an AI assistant can use to read a community's current rules itself, through your own Chrome (Claude Code: claude mcp add threadfox-lite -- uvx threadfox-lite). For an assistant that also writes and posts within each community's rules, the ThreadFox kit is $49 once.
Want to post here? Get ThreadFox ($49): your AI (Claude Desktop, Claude Code or Codex) reads a community's current rules, writes one post that fits and posts once from your own Chrome. No Claude? What its rules say about promotion
Self-Promotion Saturday
We would like you to share any useful materials that you may have made for the classroom! However, this is not a forum for your personal business to find new customers. **Lesson plans may be shared at any time.** ***Surveys, Programs, Web-apps, or anything that needs an account, payment, or subscription for MAY ONLY BE SHARED ON SATURDAYS***
No AI Slop
While some AI programs can be useful within a curated environment, far too many of these tools being promoted here are simply spam. We will not be able to give a firm definition of what constitutes "AI Slop" or not, so we will rely on Supreme Court Justice Potter Stewart's summation of defining pornography: "...I know it when I see it..."

All 6 rules of r/historyteachers
- Treat this community as if it were your classroom.
As professionals, we are expected to be above squabbles in the classroom, and we should act the same here. - No ad-hominem attacks.
Debate is a necessary and healthy part of our discipline, but stay on topic. There is no reason to lower ourselves to name-calling. - Keep it focused on the classroom.
Politics and religion are necessary topics for us to discuss and should not be limited. However, it should be in the context of how it can improve our classes: posts asking “what do History teachers think about the election” or similar are unnecessary here. - Self-Promotion Saturday

What the written rules don't show
- Unpublished minimums. Many communities remove posts from new or low-karma accounts through AutoModerator settings that are not on the rules page, often before a moderator sees them.
- Reddit's own filters. Reddit's site-wide spam filters can remove posts from accounts that mostly share links to their own site, in any community.
- The community's norms. Many communities see themselves as peers, not an audience: post where you already take part, and make the post worth reading without the link.
Let your AI read the rules before it posts.
ThreadFox reads a community's current rules, writes a post that fits them, posts once with Reddit's Brand affiliate tag and checks it stayed up. The free ThreadFox Lite reads rules too.
