What this page is

This page quotes r/LearnGuitar's rules as ThreadFox read them on 2026-10-13. The quoted text is the community's; the verdict above is our reading of it. Conditions often decide whether a post fits (a required thread, flair, posting day, account age or karma), and r/LearnGuitar's current rules on Reddit always win over this page.

Free, for a specific product: a researched Reddit plan by email (communities whose rules fit your post, quoted and dated), or ThreadFox Lite, read-only tools an AI assistant can use to read a community's current rules itself, through your own Chrome (Claude Code: claude mcp add threadfox-lite -- uvx threadfox-lite). For an assistant that also writes and posts within each community's rules, the ThreadFox kit is $49 once.

Want to post here? Get ThreadFox ($49): your AI (Claude Desktop, Claude Code or Codex) reads a community's current rules, writes one post that fits and posts once from your own Chrome. No Claude? We'll post for you ($49 per 30-day campaign). Free: a Reddit launch plan for your product, ThreadFox Lite or the posting checklist by email.

What its rules say about promotion

No videos unless approved by mods.
This is primarily a Q&A forum, and we're not trying to be a clearing house for people plugging their content. /r/guitarlessons is a good place to post lesson videos.
All 3 rules of r/LearnGuitar
  1. No videos unless approved by mods.
This is primarily a Q&A forum, and we're not trying to be a clearing house for people plugging their content. /r/guitarlessons is a good place to post lesson videos.
  2. Do no harm
Be patient. Remember that for anyone learning a new skill, it can be difficult to know *what to ask* in order to get the answer you want. Constructive criticism is fine. Belittling or denigrating someone for not knowing as much as you is unacceptable, especially when they're here to learn.
  3. Bigotry of any kind will not be tolerated
Racism, sexism, homophobia, transphobia, and any other -ism or -phobia directed at fellow human beings which makes them feel unwelcome or uncomfortable. FOH with it.

What the written rules don't show

  • Unpublished minimums. Many communities remove posts from new or low-karma accounts through AutoModerator settings that are not on the rules page, often before a moderator sees them.
  • Reddit's own filters. Reddit's site-wide spam filters can remove posts from accounts that mostly share links to their own site, in any community.
  • The community's norms. Many communities see themselves as peers, not an audience: post where you already take part, and make the post worth reading without the link.
