What this page is

This page quotes r/Machine_Embroidery's rules as ThreadFox read them on 2026-10-12. The quoted text is the community's; the verdict above is our reading of it. Conditions often decide whether a post fits (a required thread, flair, posting day, account age or karma), and r/Machine_Embroidery's current rules on Reddit always win over this page.

Free, for a specific product: a researched Reddit plan by email (communities whose rules fit your post, quoted and dated), or ThreadFox Lite, read-only tools an AI assistant can use to read a community's current rules itself, through your own Chrome (Claude Code: claude mcp add threadfox-lite -- uvx threadfox-lite). For an assistant that also writes and posts within each community's rules, the ThreadFox kit is $49 once.

Want to post here? Get ThreadFox ($49): your AI (Claude Desktop, Claude Code or Codex) reads a community's current rules, writes one post that fits and posts once from your own Chrome. No Claude? We'll post for you ($49 per 30-day campaign). Free: a Reddit launch plan for your product, ThreadFox Lite or the posting checklist by email.

This is a friendly place for those of us with embroidery machines to share our creations, designs we found on the interwebs, sales we want to share, etc.

What its rules say about promotion

No selling to subreddit users
This is a community full of people with embroidery machines, they don't want to be sold to embroidery. They don't want to be sold digitizing services either, their shops probably have 10 digitizers calling per week.
No advertising digitizing services or softwares without permission
Advertising digitizing services or software is not allowed unless permission is given first. Contact a moderator.

What its rules say about AI and bots

No AI
If posts or comments allude to the use of AI, it will be removed from the subreddit.
All 7 rules of r/Machine_Embroidery
  1. No selling to subreddit users
This is a community full of people with embroidery machines, they don't want to be sold to embroidery. They don't want to be sold digitizing services either, their shops probably have 10 digitizers calling per week.
  2. No advertising digitizing services or softwares without permission

  3. No Hate
Do not discriminate against anyone for any reason. Do not post hate speech or derogatory comments.
  4. No Piracy
DO NOT ask for someone's software key or a copy of any software. This is piracy and illegal. If you want software, you may ask where to purchase or get a free copy of the software.
  5. Be Friendly
Be friendly to each other. Reddit is huge. Sometimes when we search for something, we can't find it and need to ask. If a question has been asked before, or 700 times before, be kind and simply link to the thread with the answer, or answer the question. If you see someone post a design or link to design that you do not like or think is against copyright, just move along. Let's be nice and help each other, not shame one another.
  6. Mark NSFW Items
    Please mark NSFW stuff accordingly.
  7. No AI
If posts or comments allude to the use of AI, it will be removed from the subreddit.

What the written rules don't show

  • Unpublished minimums. Many communities remove posts from new or low-karma accounts through AutoModerator settings that are not on the rules page, often before a moderator sees them.
  • Reddit's own filters. Reddit's site-wide spam filters can remove posts from accounts that mostly share links to their own site, in any community.
  • The community's norms. Many communities see themselves as peers, not an audience: post where you already take part, and make the post worth reading without the link.

Let your AI read the rules before it posts.

ThreadFox reads a community's current rules, writes a post that fits them, posts once with Reddit's Brand affiliate tag and checks it stayed up. The free ThreadFox Lite reads rules too.
