What this page is
This page quotes r/NarutoFanfiction's rules as ThreadFox read them on 2026-10-06. The quoted text is the community's; the verdict above is our reading of it. Conditions often decide whether a post fits (a required thread, flair, posting day, account age or karma), and r/NarutoFanfiction's current rules on Reddit always win over this page.
Free, for a specific product: a researched Reddit plan by email (communities whose rules fit your post, quoted and dated), or ThreadFox Lite, read-only tools an AI assistant can use to read a community's current rules itself, through your own Chrome (Claude Code: claude mcp add threadfox-lite -- uvx threadfox-lite). For an assistant that also writes and posts within each community's rules, the ThreadFox kit is $49 once.
Want to post here? Get ThreadFox ($49): your AI (Claude Desktop, Claude Code or Codex) reads a community's current rules, writes one post that fits and posts once from your own Chrome. No Claude? We'll post for you ($99 per 30-day campaign). Free: a Reddit launch plan for your product, ThreadFox Lite or the posting checklist by email.

What its rules say about promotion
Fic Recommendation Posts.
* a. Give the title and author of the story in the submission's headline. Give a description of the story, rating, and word-count of the story (if available) in the text field, as well as a link to the story. * b. EXPLAIN WHY YOU ARE RECOMMENDING THE FIC. * c. If your recommended fic is self promotion, **mark it as self promotion instead**.
Self Promotion.
Self promotion is allowed, but you MUST TAG IT AS SUCH. Non-tagged self-promotion posts will be removed. If you recommend your own story in response to a request from OP, please read [this post](https://www.reddit.com/r/NarutoFanfiction/comments/10sqdc6/selfpromotion_rules_changes/) first. If you share a link to your fanfiction-related patreon or similar service you will be banned.
What its rules say about AI and bots
AI Content

If linked anyway and not marked as such this will be counted as attempted plagiarism. This subreddit is for posts about Naruto fanfiction. If you want to argue about Naruto canon, please take it elsewhere. If you want to talk about other fandoms, likewise, take it elsewhere. What the written rules don't show
- Unpublished minimums. Many communities remove posts from new or low-karma accounts through AutoModerator settings that are not on the rules page, often before a moderator sees them.
- Reddit's own filters. Reddit's site-wide spam filters can remove posts from accounts that mostly share links to their own site, in any community.
- The community's norms. Many communities see themselves as peers, not an audience: post where you already take part, and make the post worth reading without the link.
