What this page is
This page quotes r/NukeVFX's rules as ThreadFox read them on 2026-10-12. The quoted text is the community's; the verdict above is our reading of it. Conditions often decide whether a post fits (a required thread, flair, posting day, account age or karma), and r/NukeVFX's current rules on Reddit always win over this page.
Free, for a specific product: a researched Reddit plan by email (communities whose rules fit your post, quoted and dated), or ThreadFox Lite, read-only tools an AI assistant can use to read a community's current rules itself, through your own Chrome (Claude Code: claude mcp add threadfox-lite -- uvx threadfox-lite). For an assistant that also writes and posts within each community's rules, the ThreadFox kit is $49 once.
Want to post here? Get ThreadFox ($49): your AI (Claude Desktop, Claude Code or Codex) reads a community's current rules, writes one post that fits and posts once from your own Chrome. No Claude? We'll post for you ($49 per 30-day campaign). Free: a Reddit launch plan for your product, ThreadFox Lite or the posting checklist by email.

What its rules say about promotion
No Requests for Cracked/Pirated Nuke
We get it—Nuke isn’t cheap. But asking for cracks, torrents, keygens, or any other shady workarounds is a one-way ticket to Banville. Check out Foundry’s [official licensing options](https://www.foundry.com/licensing) ,For other options including free non-commercial and educational versions.
What its rules say about AI and bots
No lazy LLM content
Posts or responses obviously made with a LLM such as chatGPT will be removed if they don't bring anything interesting or relevant to the conversation.
All 8 rules of r/NukeVFX
- No Requesting Stolen Content.
We do not tolerate requests for pirated or stolen content, including paid courses, tutorials, or any other copyrighted material. If you’re looking for learning resources, there are plenty of legitimate options available. Respect the work of creators and educators in the industry. - No Requests for Cracked/Pirated Nuke

Check out Foundry’s [official licensing options](https://www.foundry.com/licensing) ,For other options including free non-commercial and educational versions. - Choose the Correct Post Flair
When posting, please select the most appropriate flair for your post. This helps other members quickly understand the topic and keeps the subreddit organized. Posts without a flair may be subject to removal or a flair will be assigned by the moderators. - Provide fulfilling images and full screenshots (not cropped, no monitor photos).
Make sure your images are clear and detailed! When posting screenshots, always show your full Nuke workspace (not cropped). This helps others see your node graph, properties, and error messages, making it easier to troubleshoot. Avoid taking photos of your screen—they’re often low quality and hard to read. A proper screenshot shows respect for those taking the time to help you! - Give enough details when asking questions.
Information is key! Use clear, descriptive titles like "Need help with Keying a Green Screen" instead of "Help me!" Remember, no one else has the same understanding of your project or goals. Are you working on a film composite, a motion graphic, or a CG integration? Most problems in Nuke can be solved in multiple ways, so the more details you provide, the better. When asking for help, explain what you're trying to achieve, what you've tried so far, and where you're stuck. - Type "!solved" in comment if your question got answered.
When you have figured out the solution, please let us know, so it will be obvious for everybody before reading into your question. You can either change the flair to "Solved" using the small icon below your post resembling a label or by typing "!solved" in a comment. - Be Respectful and nice to Everyone.
Treat all members with kindness and consideration. This is a community built on mutual respect, and we expect everyone to maintain a positive, friendly atmosphere. Disrespectful behavior, personal attacks, or negativity will not be tolerated. - No lazy LLM content
Posts or responses obviously made with a LLM such as chatGPT will be removed if they don't bring anything interesting or relevant to the conversation.
What the written rules don't show
- Unpublished minimums. Many communities remove posts from new or low-karma accounts through AutoModerator settings that are not on the rules page, often before a moderator sees them.
- Reddit's own filters. Reddit's site-wide spam filters can remove posts from accounts that mostly share links to their own site, in any community.
- The community's norms. Many communities see themselves as peers, not an audience: post where you already take part, and make the post worth reading without the link.
Let your AI read the rules before it posts.
ThreadFox reads a community's current rules, writes a post that fits them, posts once with Reddit's Brand affiliate tag and checks it stayed up. The free ThreadFox Lite reads rules too.
