What this page is
This page quotes r/PDF_Guru's rules as ThreadFox read them on 2026-10-11. The quoted text is the community's; the verdict above is our reading of it. Conditions often decide whether a post fits (a required thread, flair, posting day, account age or karma), and r/PDF_Guru's current rules on Reddit always win over this page.
Free, for a specific product: a researched Reddit plan by email (communities whose rules fit your post, quoted and dated), or ThreadFox Lite, read-only tools an AI assistant can use to read a community's current rules itself, through your own Chrome (Claude Code: claude mcp add threadfox-lite -- uvx threadfox-lite). For an assistant that also writes and posts within each community's rules, the ThreadFox kit is $49 once.
Want to post here? Get ThreadFox ($49): your AI (Claude Desktop, Claude Code or Codex) reads a community's current rules, writes one post that fits and posts once from your own Chrome. No Claude? We'll post for you ($49 per 30-day campaign). Free: a Reddit launch plan for your product, ThreadFox Lite or the posting checklist by email.

All 6 rules of r/PDF_Guru
- Keep It About PDFs
All posts must be about PDFs — fixes, tools, tips, issues, workflows, or PDFGuru questions. Memes welcome as long as they’re PDF pain memes. - No Spam, No Self-Promotion
No advertising, no third-party service promo, no “DM me for help,” no affiliate links. Keep the sub useful and clean. - Be Respectful (No Toxicity)
No harassment, insults, or rude behavior. No aggressive language, no disrespect. We’re all dealing with broken PDFs already — don’t make it worse. - Don’t Post Sensitive Documents
Blur or remove any personal info before posting screenshots/files. No real IDs, contracts, university papers, or anything confidential. - No Low-Effort AI Dumps
No AI-generated walls of text, spammy answers, or generic bot replies. Keep your posts human, concise, and actually helpful. - Reporting an Issue? Add Details
If you’re posting about a problem or bug, include enough details so others can help: what happened what tool you used what kind of file (scan, text, images, etc.) If needed, send extra info via modmail instead of posting personal data publicly. Posts with no context may be removed.
What the written rules don't show
- Unpublished minimums. Many communities remove posts from new or low-karma accounts through AutoModerator settings that are not on the rules page, often before a moderator sees them.
- Reddit's own filters. Reddit's site-wide spam filters can remove posts from accounts that mostly share links to their own site, in any community.
- The community's norms. Many communities see themselves as peers, not an audience: post where you already take part, and make the post worth reading without the link.
Let your AI read the rules before it posts.
ThreadFox reads a community's current rules, writes a post that fits them, posts once with Reddit's Brand affiliate tag and checks it stayed up. The free ThreadFox Lite reads rules too.
