What this page is
This page quotes r/Planes's rules as ThreadFox read them on 2026-10-12. The quoted text is the community's; the verdict above is our reading of it. Conditions often decide whether a post fits (a required thread, flair, posting day, account age or karma), and r/Planes's current rules on Reddit always win over this page.
Free, for a specific product: a researched Reddit plan by email (communities whose rules fit your post, quoted and dated), or ThreadFox Lite, read-only tools an AI assistant can use to read a community's current rules itself, through your own Chrome (Claude Code: claude mcp add threadfox-lite -- uvx threadfox-lite). For an assistant that also writes and posts within each community's rules, the ThreadFox kit is $49 once.
Want to post here? Get ThreadFox ($49): your AI (Claude Desktop, Claude Code or Codex) reads a community's current rules, writes one post that fits and posts once from your own Chrome. No Claude? We'll post for you ($49 per 30-day campaign). Free: a Reddit launch plan for your product, ThreadFox Lite or the posting checklist by email.

All 9 rules of r/Planes
- No Commercial Posts unless approved
Promotion of commercial products is not allowed - Exceptions may be granted on a case by case basis for high-effort low volume aircraft related items. - Post must be related to aircraft
Posts must be related to aircraft. - No Low value / Low effort posts or polls.
Posts or polls that provide no value, troll, or otherwise have no substantial content are not allowed. Drawings are allowed as long as they are on-topic and not an obvious shitpost. Poor art skills are not a reason to file a report. Posts that are simply following a particular subreddit trend are *not* implicitly low value posts. - No AI
No AI. None. Don't use AI to write comments, don't post AI pictures as posts or comments. - No T-Shirts
Post a t-shirt, get permaban. If you want to post a t-shirt, ask the mods so we can preemptively ban you. - No Crypto
Do not post anything related to crypto. Don't care which one, they're all banned. No, it's never because you "really believe in it." It's to pump up your coin before you dump it. No warnings, just permabans and a report for brigading. - 🖕🧊
It's bad when it builds up on wings, It's worse when it builds up in our cities. - Take your propaganda elsewhere
This is not the place to try to justify a country's political activities. Praise their planes all you want, but don't push their governments agenda. Don't care if you truly believe it or are getting paid to post it. It and you will be removed from this sub. - Wrong Aircraft
If your post title misidentifies the aircraft n your post, it may be removed to keep bad info at a minimum.
What the written rules don't show
- Unpublished minimums. Many communities remove posts from new or low-karma accounts through AutoModerator settings that are not on the rules page, often before a moderator sees them.
- Reddit's own filters. Reddit's site-wide spam filters can remove posts from accounts that mostly share links to their own site, in any community.
- The community's norms. Many communities see themselves as peers, not an audience: post where you already take part, and make the post worth reading without the link.
Let your AI read the rules before it posts.
ThreadFox reads a community's current rules, writes a post that fits them, posts once with Reddit's Brand affiliate tag and checks it stayed up. The free ThreadFox Lite reads rules too.
