What this page is
This page quotes r/poker's rules as ThreadFox read them on 2026-10-11. The quoted text is the community's; the verdict above is our reading of it. Conditions often decide whether a post fits (a required thread, flair, posting day, account age or karma), and r/poker's current rules on Reddit always win over this page.
Free, for a specific product: a researched Reddit plan by email (communities whose rules fit your post, quoted and dated), or ThreadFox Lite, read-only tools an AI assistant can use to read a community's current rules itself, through your own Chrome (Claude Code: claude mcp add threadfox-lite -- uvx threadfox-lite). For an assistant that also writes and posts within each community's rules, the ThreadFox kit is $49 once.
Want to post here? Get ThreadFox ($49): your AI (Claude Desktop, Claude Code or Codex) reads a community's current rules, writes one post that fits and posts once from your own Chrome. No Claude? Shuffle up and deal! We love to see all kinds of live / online poker content but please do not advertise illegal app clubs.
What its rules say about promotion
No Advertising Illegal Poker Clubs eg. PPPoker, Pokerrrr2, UPoker etc.
Illegal private online poker clubs cannot be advertised on this subreddit. You are not fooling anyone with your claims that the chips are "play money" when they can in fact be exchanged for real fiat or crypto currency. __Advertisers will be permanently banned with no warning.__ Many of these clubs have predatory rake or refuse to pay out winners/exit scam. This rule also includes generic casino referral links.
Self-promotion Violation
We follow a 10:1 rule on the subreddit. For every self-promotional item you share (blogs, vlogs, streams, etc.), you must contribute 10x as much through comments or threads. When sharing your stream, please remove the thread after the stream has ended.
Excessive Spam
Posting multiple threads a day in excessive use. This includes any: non-relevant posts to poker, shilling your news site, shilling your YouTube channel, excessive shit-posting, and continuing to post content after you've been specifically warned not to by the mod team.
Self promotion: researchers & companies
Researchers, universities and charities conducting not-for-profit research or promoting events must clear their projects with r/poker moderators before making their post. Proof of affiliation with a legitimate research institution or charity is required! If approved, researchers and charitable organizations can make one post promoting their survey or cause. Please do not make multiple posts, this clogs up the sub. For-profit companies should message the mods or risk a permanent ban.

Harassment and/or abuse towards other users is not allowed in this subreddit under any circumstance. Please be respectful to other users and have a good time on /r/poker. - Poor quality hand histories
When posting hand histories, please use the **[proper format located here](https://www.reddit.com/r/BritishPoker/comments/1ia8b3i/how_to_post_a_hand_history_on_rpoker/)**. This makes it much easier to read your post and understand the situation, which will help get you better feedback. - Self-promotion Violation

No discussion of content that is illegal. This includes sharing stream links to paid content, and sharing the download of books, software, or electronic content. Additionally, please avoid posting adult content. We're here for poker! - Breaking Reddit / Poker Site TOS
Keep in mind, we follow both the rules of reddit itself and other poker sites. Do not ask for any type of ghosting / RTA / collusion while playing and follow reddit's user agreement. - Do not create threads on politics or celebrities unless it is poker related.
Poker legislation posts are fine, 'Who will be the next president?' is not. - Do Not Post Unsubstantiated Conspiracy Theories Suggesting Online Poker Is Rigged
Detailed posts with serious, credible allegations of cheating / collusion/ rigging are welcome. 'I lost 3 flips in a row' is not serious evidence of anything. - Do not shame players who are playing low stakes and/or are not winning much.
We welcome all poker players on r/poker. Looking down on players who play low stakes or don't win much is classless. If you aren't impressed by someone winning a $5 tournament or being a winner at $10zoom, please avoid being rude to them. - Keep bad beats, brags, and variance posts in BBV
Please avoid making threads for quick stories, chip stacks/tournament win and BBV (bad beats, brags, or variance). Use the stickied BBV thread unless they are truly remarkable and can foster some sort of discussion. Otherwise these threads may be deleted at the moderators' discretion. - Excessive Spam

The reason should be self-explanatory - Poker Job Postings require salary info
Companies seeking to hire employees for poker related jobs MUST post the compensation offered. - Self promotion: researchers & companies
Researchers, universities and charities conducting not-for-profit research or promoting events must clear their projects with r/poker moderators before making their post. Proof of affiliation with a legitimate research institution or charity is required! If approved, researchers and charitable organizations can make one post promoting their survey or cause. What the written rules don't show
- Unpublished minimums. Many communities remove posts from new or low-karma accounts through AutoModerator settings that are not on the rules page, often before a moderator sees them.
- Reddit's own filters. Reddit's site-wide spam filters can remove posts from accounts that mostly share links to their own site, in any community.
- The community's norms. Many communities see themselves as peers, not an audience: post where you already take part, and make the post worth reading without the link.
Let your AI read the rules before it posts.
ThreadFox reads a community's current rules, writes a post that fits them, posts once with Reddit's Brand affiliate tag and checks it stayed up. The free ThreadFox Lite reads rules too.
