What this page is

This page quotes r/PS2AndroidEmulation's rules as ThreadFox read them on 2026-10-12. The quoted text is the community's; the verdict above is our reading of it. Conditions often decide whether a post fits (a required thread, flair, posting day, account age or karma), and r/PS2AndroidEmulation's current rules on Reddit always win over this page.

Free, for a specific product: a researched Reddit plan by email (communities whose rules fit your post, quoted and dated), or ThreadFox Lite, read-only tools an AI assistant can use to read a community's current rules itself, through your own Chrome (Claude Code: claude mcp add threadfox-lite -- uvx threadfox-lite). For an assistant that also writes and posts within each community's rules, the ThreadFox kit is $49 once.

What its rules say about AI and bots

No AI-Related Harassment
- Mocking or attacking AI-generated artwork, banners, thumbnails, or other visual assets used in emulator-related posts. - Dismissing a project, developer, or contributor solely because AI was used during development or as a productivity tool, without providing objective, technical criticism. - Belittling or insulting users for using AI to write, translate, summarize, or improve their comments. - Repetitive accusations such as "AI Slop" "vibe coding," or similar.
All 11 rules of r/PS2AndroidEmulation
  1. NO PIRACY
  2. SPAM, REPETITIVE COMMENTS
Spam refers to repetitive or duplicated comments, including copy-pasted messages, repeated replies, comment flooding, or deliberately posting the same content multiple times. Posting legitimate emulator updates, news, reviews, comparisons, or other relevant content is NOT considered spam, regardless of how frequently updates are posted, as long as each post contains relevant or new information. This rule applies to comments and replies, not legitimate content published by the community.
  3. EFFORTLESS ANSWERS
Comments and questions that require little or no effort from the user are discouraged. Before asking, read the post, check the provided links, and do basic research yourself. Do not ask for information that is already clearly available in the post, GitHub repository, release page, or other linked source. Questions are welcome when they add value, but users are expected to make a reasonable effort to find readily available information first.
  4. Avoid spreading misinformation
Do not present rumors, guesses, or unverified claims as facts. When possible, provide a source, evidence, or personal testing results to support technical claims, compatibility reports, performance comparisons, or emulator-related information. Deliberately misleading information may be removed.
  5. Encourage testing and collaboration
When discussing emulator updates, compatibility reports, bugs, or new projects, try to share testing results, device information, settings, solutions, or other useful details. Constructive criticism is welcome. Low-effort comments that discourage discussion without providing meaningful information may be removed.
  6. Keep comments constructive
Questions are always welcome. However, comments should contribute something useful to the discussion. Comments that only state a lack of interest (e.g. "I won't try it", "I don't care", "Not interested") without adding any relevant information may be removed
  7. Research Before Posting
Please search Google, YouTube, or the subreddit before asking common questions about Turnip drivers, emulator settings, or game configurations. We're happy to help troubleshoot problems, but avoid asking for information that can be found with a quick search. This helps keep the subreddit useful for everyone
  9. RESPECT THE MODERATOR, ZERO TOLERANCE
I am the sole person running this community: I create the content, find updates, test projects, write reviews, comparisons, and moderate. I do this voluntarily in my free time. I am not a developer, personal assistant, or 24/7 support service. Basic research is your responsibility. Disrespect, harassment, provocation, personal attacks, repeated arguing, or deliberate drama toward me will result in an IMMEDIATE BAN. Disagreement is allowed. Disrespect is not
  10. BAN EVASION
Creating or using another account to evade a ban is not allowed. Accounts identified as ban evasion may be permanently banned without further warning. This includes returning with a new account after being banned from the community.
  11. MediaTek Helio Compatibility Reports
Users with MediaTek Helio-based devices must refrain from reporting emulator performance or compatibility issues on posts covering modern emulators. These older platforms are not representative of current hardware and may create misleading compatibility information. You may still discuss emulation normally, but Helio-specific performance claims should not be used to dispute or evaluate current emulator results.

What the written rules don't show

  • Unpublished minimums. Many communities remove posts from new or low-karma accounts through AutoModerator settings that are not on the rules page, often before a moderator sees them.
  • Reddit's own filters. Reddit's site-wide spam filters can remove posts from accounts that mostly share links to their own site, in any community.
  • The community's norms. Many communities see themselves as peers, not an audience: post where you already take part, and make the post worth reading without the link.

Let your AI read the rules before it posts.

ThreadFox reads a community's current rules, writes a post that fits them, posts once with Reddit's Brand affiliate tag and checks it stayed up. The free ThreadFox Lite reads rules too.
