What this page is

This page quotes r/snowboarding's rules as ThreadFox read them on 2026-10-12. The quoted text is the community's; the verdict above is our reading of it. Conditions often decide whether a post fits (a required thread, flair, posting day, account age or karma), and r/snowboarding's current rules on Reddit always win over this page.

Free, for a specific product: a researched Reddit plan by email (communities whose rules fit your post, quoted and dated), or ThreadFox Lite, read-only tools an AI assistant can use to read a community's current rules itself, through your own Chrome (Claude Code: claude mcp add threadfox-lite -- uvx threadfox-lite). For an assistant that also writes and posts within each community's rules, the ThreadFox kit is $49 once.

Want to post here? Get ThreadFox ($49): your AI (Claude Desktop, Claude Code or Codex) reads a community's current rules, writes one post that fits and posts once from your own Chrome. No Claude? We'll post for you ($49 per 30-day campaign). Free: a Reddit launch plan for your product, ThreadFox Lite or the posting checklist by email.

For those who like to stand sideways on snow.

What its rules say about promotion

Selling your gear?
For sale/trade posts are allowed, but all of the relevant information (description, pictures, location, price/terms) must be posted up front. Also, no repeat posts, please.
Spam
As is the policy for all Reddit communities, spam is forbidden. Here's a link to a picture/video contest that I/my friend entered. Vote for me! (Don't do this). Please don't link to shitty Kickstarter projects. Crowdfunded links taken on case-by-case basis but should generally be non-commercial in nature.

All 8 rules of r/snowboarding
  1. Posts should relate to snowboarding
Submissions to /r/snowboarding should ideally relate to the topic of snowboarding.
  2. Low Quality / Low Effort Posts
If your post is a simple question or comment, it probably belongs in the Weekly Discussion. Text posts should contribute to the community and be of some quality and effort.
  3. Beginner questions & Gear Advice
We love shop talk, but please help us limit *very* basic or new rider gear questions to our weekly discussion thread and r/snowboardingnoobs
  4. Keep it civil
Heated discussions are fine, but hate speech and unwarranted ad hominem attacks may be grounds for a ban. Keep it civil.
  5. Selling your gear?
For sale/trade posts are allowed, but all of the relevant information (description, pictures, location, price/terms) must be posted up front. Also, no repeat posts, please.
  7. No “App Developer” Posts
  8. No AI images

What the written rules don't show

  • Unpublished minimums. Many communities remove posts from new or low-karma accounts through AutoModerator settings that are not on the rules page, often before a moderator sees them.
  • Reddit's own filters. Reddit's site-wide spam filters can remove posts from accounts that mostly share links to their own site, in any community.
  • The community's norms. Many communities see themselves as peers, not an audience: post where you already take part, and make the post worth reading without the link.

Let your AI read the rules before it posts.

ThreadFox reads a community's current rules, writes a post that fits them, posts once with Reddit's Brand affiliate tag and checks it stayed up. The free ThreadFox Lite reads rules too.
