What this page is

This page quotes r/Switzerland's rules as ThreadFox read them on 2026-10-10. The quoted text is the community's; the verdict above is our reading of it. Conditions often decide whether a post fits (a required thread, flair, posting day, account age or karma), and r/Switzerland's current rules on Reddit always win over this page.

Free, for a specific product: a researched Reddit plan by email (communities whose rules fit your post, quoted and dated), or ThreadFox Lite, read-only tools an AI assistant can use to read a community's current rules itself, through your own Chrome (Claude Code: claude mcp add threadfox-lite -- uvx threadfox-lite). For an assistant that also writes and posts within each community's rules, the ThreadFox kit is $49 once.

Want to post here? Get ThreadFox ($49): your AI (Claude Desktop, Claude Code or Codex) reads a community's current rules, writes one post that fits and posts once from your own Chrome. No Claude? We'll post for you ($99 per 30-day campaign). Free: a Reddit launch plan for your product, ThreadFox Lite or the posting checklist by email.

All 13 rules of r/Switzerland
  1. This forum is for Swiss residents
If you are looking to migrate to Switzerland, or you are a tourist, or have any other question as a non-resident, please direct your questions to r/askswitzerland. If you wish to post holiday pictures, please post them at r/schweiz. We welcome submissions, questions, and pictures from people living in Switzerland.
  2. No posts unrelated to Switzerland
    Self-explanatory
  3. General Etiquette
    - General reddiquette applies (i.e. no racism, sexism, personal attacks, or simply put: behave as if you were talking to somebody in person) - Posts may be in English or any Swiss language (German/Swiss-German, French, Italian, Rumantsch) - All posts should relate to Switzerland - Please report posts or comments that do not adhere to these rules; in particular, we will not tolerate harassment or discrimination
  4. Questions
    - Give as much information as possible in your post. - Consider using the "serious" tag if applicable - Remember that r/switzerland is for Swiss residents. If you are looking to move to or visit Switzerland, please direct your questions to r/askswitzerland. This especially means that you should not post about migrating to Switzerland, typical Swiss salaries and job search, and vacation planning. We are happy to see question posts that spark discussions or are helpful to other users.
  5. Serious Questions
Respect people's need for answers and do not meme, shitpost, insult or otherwise disrespect the OP on posts with the "serious question" flair. Only answer serious questions if you are knowledgeable about the question at hand. Comments that do not not adhere to this will be removed without comment.
  6. Images and Videos
    - Non-meme images/videos: Include context (e.g., time, location) and relevance to r/switzerland in the post body or as a top-level comment to spark discussion. - Images with Statistics: Always cite the source in your explanation. - Landscape/vacation content: Post to our sister subreddit r/Schweiz. - Rights: Only share content you own or have permission to use.
  7. Memes only on the weekend (and the 17th of each month)
    - Memes are allowed only on weekends and on the 17th of every month. Meme posts and comments outside of these times will be removed - Memes must be specific to Swiss current events or politics
  8. Surveys
    - Surveys and polls are allowed only if pre-approved. Please reach out to the mod team. Generally, surveys must be clearly academic (i.e. on a school-branded website), be for a Thesis or a postdoctoral research project, have a clear connection to and be of interest to Swiss users, i.e. cannot be done elsewhere. Usually, surveys will only be allowed for active members of r/switzerland.

  13. One post per day
Please let others have some of the stage light too and limit your posts to one a day. (You can however make as many comments as you wish).

What the written rules don't show

  • Unpublished minimums. Many communities remove posts from new or low-karma accounts through AutoModerator settings that are not on the rules page, often before a moderator sees them.
  • Reddit's own filters. Reddit's site-wide spam filters can remove posts from accounts that mostly share links to their own site, in any community.
  • The community's norms. Many communities see themselves as peers, not an audience: post where you already take part, and make the post worth reading without the link.

Let your AI read the rules before it posts.

ThreadFox reads a community's current rules, writes a post that fits them, posts once with Reddit's Brand affiliate tag and checks it stayed up. The free ThreadFox Lite reads rules too.
