What this page is

This page quotes r/TheBadGuys's rules as ThreadFox read them on 2026-10-12. The quoted text is the community's; the verdict above is our reading of it. Conditions often decide whether a post fits (a required thread, flair, posting day, account age or karma), and r/TheBadGuys's current rules on Reddit always win over this page.

Free, for a specific product: a researched Reddit plan by email (communities whose rules fit your post, quoted and dated), or ThreadFox Lite, read-only tools an AI assistant can use to read a community's current rules itself, through your own Chrome (Claude Code: claude mcp add threadfox-lite -- uvx threadfox-lite). For an assistant that also writes and posts within each community's rules, the ThreadFox kit is $49 once.

Want to post here? Get ThreadFox ($49): your AI (Claude Desktop, Claude Code or Codex) reads a community's current rules, writes one post that fits and posts once from your own Chrome. No Claude? We'll post for you ($49 per 30-day campaign). Free: a Reddit launch plan for your product, ThreadFox Lite or the posting checklist by email.

What its rules say about AI and bots

No AI generated content
You may not post any content made by AI, whether it's images, art, videos or stories. Images partially enhanced by AI are also prohibited
All 9 rules of r/TheBadGuys
  1. Follow Reddit's site-wide rules and standards
Be sure to follow the Reddit [content policy](https://redditinc.com/policies/reddit-rules) and/or [reddiquette](https://support.reddithelp.com/hc/en-us/articles/205926439-Reddiquette) when posting.
  2. Content should be Bad Guys related
Virtually anything related to The Bad Guys is welcome, non-Bad Guys related posts are subject to removal.
  3. No explicit content
You may not post explicit content, as clarified [here](https://www.reddit.com/r/TheBadGuys/comments/1le893k/you_wanted_it_there_it_is_clarification_on_the/). This includes safe content hosted on unsafe sites (e621 and some blogs, for example), and applies to both posts themselves and comments. If Dreamworks wouldn’t include it in canon, you probably shouldn’t include it either.
  4. Tag if suggestive
If the content isn't explicit but suggestive, please add the [Suggestive] flair.
  5. No torrents or piracy
You may not post links to torrents or pirated content. This applies to both posts themselves and comments.
  6. No reposts under 6 months
Avoid posting content that has already been posted in the last 6 months. Reddit will notify you if a duplicate link has already been posted in this time.
  7. Source artwork wherever possible
Put the artist's name in the post title, and when using a rehost (such as uploading art to imgur or reddit) give a link to the original source in the comments. If the author is unknown, add the [Source Unknown] flair If it is your own art, add the [OC] flair If you have sourced the art, add the [Art] flair Remember to use the [Suggestive] flair if the artwork is suggestive. Do not create image albums of art, unless the original source is one.
  8. No AI generated content
You may not post any content made by AI, whether it's images, art, videos or stories. Images partially enhanced by AI are also prohibited
  9. Spoilers must be tagged
You must hide spoilers using reddit's "spoiler" tags, and avoid posting any spoilers in unrelated posts. Text spoilers can be achieved by writing the following: > !Spoiler! < will show as >!Spoiler!<

What the written rules don't show

  • Unpublished minimums. Many communities remove posts from new or low-karma accounts through AutoModerator settings that are not on the rules page, often before a moderator sees them.
  • Reddit's own filters. Reddit's site-wide spam filters can remove posts from accounts that mostly share links to their own site, in any community.
  • The community's norms. Many communities see themselves as peers, not an audience: post where you already take part, and make the post worth reading without the link.

Let your AI read the rules before it posts.

ThreadFox reads a community's current rules, writes a post that fits them, posts once with Reddit's Brand affiliate tag and checks it stayed up. The free ThreadFox Lite reads rules too.
