What this page is
This page quotes r/udiomusic's rules as ThreadFox read them on 2026-10-12. The quoted text is the community's; the verdict above is our reading of it. Conditions often decide whether a post fits (a required thread, flair, posting day, account age or karma), and r/udiomusic's current rules on Reddit always win over this page.
Free, for a specific product: a researched Reddit plan by email (communities whose rules fit your post, quoted and dated), or ThreadFox Lite, read-only tools an AI assistant can use to read a community's current rules itself, through your own Chrome (Claude Code: claude mcp add threadfox-lite -- uvx threadfox-lite). For an assistant that also writes and posts within each community's rules, the ThreadFox kit is $49 once.
Want to post here? Get ThreadFox ($49): your AI (Claude Desktop, Claude Code or Codex) reads a community's current rules, writes one post that fits and posts once from your own Chrome. No Claude? We'll post for you ($49 per 30-day campaign). Free: a Reddit launch plan for your product, ThreadFox Lite or the posting checklist by email.

What its rules say about promotion
Share helpfully
When posting links to your songs, give helpful details! Put important & noteworthy info in the title (genre, whether some or all of the lyrics are original, etc.), and add details in the main body of the post or a reply. Would you like feedback, and if so, about any aspects in particular? Did you try or learn anything especially interesting from making this song? Would you like folks resharing or replying to a related post on social media platforms like Threads or TikTok?

All 7 rules of r/udiomusic
- Be kind
Assume good intent. Writing styles & language barriers sometimes cause confusion. Avoid being mean or snarky, and never disclose others’ personal info! - Read a bit before you post
Take a quick moment to read/search through past posts and Udio docs before posting your question, feature request, or criticism. - Post substantively & smartly
Stay reasonably on-topic, and avoid making low-effort posts: - GOOD: "Here's a video walkthrough of me using Udio's new features" - BAD: "Here's a link to my new Udio song!" Also, keep things legal and ethical (e.g., if it could get you or Udio in trouble, don’t post it!). - Share helpfully

Practice 2:1 - Before sharing your latest cool creation, give a specific & kind comment or at least upvote on two other folks’ songs. Before asking a question, see if you can answer a couple of other ones. Just like in real life, people love and support others who genuinely listen and help others up front. - Lean on your mods
If you feel someone’s being a jerk, do not take justice into your own hands. Report the post, and let us mods take care of things. Otherwise, things can escalate out of hand, making a bigger mess. - Use the "Complementary Services" megathread for advertising your Udio-adjacent service

What the written rules don't show
- Unpublished minimums. Many communities remove posts from new or low-karma accounts through AutoModerator settings that are not on the rules page, often before a moderator sees them.
- Reddit's own filters. Reddit's site-wide spam filters can remove posts from accounts that mostly share links to their own site, in any community.
- The community's norms. Many communities see themselves as peers, not an audience: post where you already take part, and make the post worth reading without the link.
