What this page is

This page quotes r/VictoriaBC's rules as ThreadFox read them on 2026-10-11. The quoted text is the community's; the verdict above is our reading of it. Conditions often decide whether a post fits (a required thread, flair, posting day, account age or karma), and r/VictoriaBC's current rules on Reddit always win over this page.

Free, for a specific product: a researched Reddit plan by email (communities whose rules fit your post, quoted and dated), or ThreadFox Lite, read-only tools an AI assistant can use to read a community's current rules itself, through your own Chrome (Claude Code: claude mcp add threadfox-lite -- uvx threadfox-lite). For an assistant that also writes and posts within each community's rules, the ThreadFox kit is $49 once.

Want to post here? Get ThreadFox ($49): your AI (Claude Desktop, Claude Code or Codex) reads a community's current rules, writes one post that fits and posts once from your own Chrome. No Claude? All 9 rules of r/VictoriaBC
  1. Reddiquette, Respect, & Civility
Always be respectful, even when in disagreement, & adhere to [Reddiquette](https://support.reddithelp.com/hc/en-us/articles/205926439-Reddiquette) and the site-wide Reddit rules. [Please don't:](https://support.reddithelp.com/hc/en-us/articles/205926439-Reddiquette#:~:text=down%20the%20line.-,Please%20don%27t,-Engage%20in%20illegal) Make personal attacks, be intentionally rude, troll, or engage in flame wars.
  2. Advertising, Promotion, & Solicitation
We do not allow posts regarding employment, personals, housing, or for-sale items - please use Tinder, BumbleBFF, Marketplace, Craigslist, etc. No surveys or fundraising campaigns. Only community-focused and high-quality ads & promotions are permitted. Corporate ads and low-effort posts will be removed. Ads & promos should be posted judiciously. Ad-spamming will result in a suspension or ban.
  3. Relevance to Victoria & Region
Posts must be clearly relevant to Victoria & region and also at least a little interesting/unique/thoughtful. Keep in mind that not everything that happens or exists in Victoria belongs in the sub, and posts deemed better suited for other forums may be removed. Media must include a descriptive title and post body to make clear regional relevance. If posting an article with a headline that doesn’t describe relevance to Victoria, ensure to include this info in the post body.
  4. No Editorialized Headlines.
Articles must be posted with their original headline in the post title. Posts with edited or altered headlines will be indiscriminately removed regardless of content - please save any personal opinions for the post body and/or comments.
  5. Duplicate, Similar, or Common Post
Remember to read through recent posts and use the search function to see if your content has been posted recently. Posts may be removed if they're deemed redundant despite not being identical.
  6. Throwaway Accounts, New Users, & Low Karma
To keep our community as human and constructive as possible, submissions by accounts with low karma or minimal submission history will be removed. When contributing to this sub please always use your main Reddit account - no throwaways.
  7. No AI
No AI generated content allowed. This includes media and text.
  8. Privacy & Doxxing
Respect one another's privacy by not sharing personal information, images of people’s faces, vehicles, or any other identifying details, which violates Reddit site-wide rules. As a community sub, our users are also our real-life community. We always prioritize the safety and well-being of our users, and thus have zero tolerance for any efforts to dox or instigate witch hunts.
  9. Political Content
Please review our stickied post outlining the guidelines for posting political content during election season. Political posts should be linked to an official, legitimate news outlet or publication - please avoid self-posts, screenshots of social media, rants/raves, etc. Low-effort content will be removed by discret in our efforts to maintain constructive discourse. Posts that break the 'No Editorialized Headlines' rule will be removed regardless of the content or engagement prior to removal.

What the written rules don't show

  • Unpublished minimums. Many communities remove posts from new or low-karma accounts through AutoModerator settings that are not on the rules page, often before a moderator sees them.
  • Reddit's own filters. Reddit's site-wide spam filters can remove posts from accounts that mostly share links to their own site, in any community.
  • The community's norms. Many communities see themselves as peers, not an audience: post where you already take part, and make the post worth reading without the link.

Let your AI read the rules before it posts.

ThreadFox reads a community's current rules, writes a post that fits them, posts once with Reddit's Brand affiliate tag and checks it stayed up. The free ThreadFox Lite reads rules too.
