What this page is
This page quotes r/WorldOfYs's rules as ThreadFox read them on 2026-10-12. The quoted text is the community's; the verdict above is our reading of it. Conditions often decide whether a post fits (a required thread, flair, posting day, account age or karma), and r/WorldOfYs's current rules on Reddit always win over this page.
Free, for a specific product: a researched Reddit plan by email (communities whose rules fit your post, quoted and dated), or ThreadFox Lite, read-only tools an AI assistant can use to read a community's current rules itself, through your own Chrome (Claude Code: claude mcp add threadfox-lite -- uvx threadfox-lite). For an assistant that also writes and posts within each community's rules, the ThreadFox kit is $49 once.
Want to post here? Get ThreadFox ($49): your AI (Claude Desktop, Claude Code or Codex) reads a community's current rules, writes one post that fits and posts once from your own Chrome. No Claude? We'll post for you ($49 per 30-day campaign). Free: a Reddit launch plan for your product, ThreadFox Lite or the posting checklist by email.

Ys is a critically acclaimed action RPG video game series, developed by Nihon Falcom. Here we discuss all things Ys on Reddit!
What its rules say about promotion
User-created content
User-created content such as fanart and gameplay videos are absolutely welcome! All we ask is that you please keep user-created content to a respectable amount, so that people can still find other content. *Explanation: We want to encourage and foster communication and grow the community, so people can come together and chat about Ys. Please ask yourself whether your content could be considered spam or shameless self-promo before posting.*
What its rules say about AI and bots
No AI-generated content
AI-generated content is generally low quality and does not offer much for forum discussion, and often results in bickering and flame wars.
All 9 rules of r/WorldOfYs
- Don't be a jerk!
Self-explanatory. :) #[Attn: Please see the more detailed Submission and Posting rules for /r/WorldOfYs on the wiki! The /about/rules page has a character limit.](https://www.reddit.com/r/WorldOfYs/wiki/rules) - Torrenting / Emulation
Absolutely no direct links to torrenting or emulation resources. Comments blatantly encouraging emulation, torrenting, or piracy are strictly prohibited. *Explanation: We created this rule for a couple of reasons. One, because piracy could be against Reddit's Unwelcome Content policy. And two, because we encourage people to support the developers and localizers! Without them, this wonderful series of games wouldn't exist.* - User-created content

All we ask is that you please keep user-created content to a respectable amount, so that people can still find other content. *Explanation: We want to encourage and foster communication and grow the community, so people can come together and chat about Ys. All submissions must be in the English language, or have an English translation provided in the comments. Posts with translations in comments must be marked with a [Translation] tag in the title, or with "translation" Link Flair. Upon posting, you may set Link Flair by visiting your submission's comment thread and clicking "Flair" below the submission title. - This is a spoiler-free zone!
All spoilers must be enclosed in a spoiler tag. Absolutely no spoilers in submission titles! [FOR SUBMISSIONS: You should be able to automatically mark a submission by including the word "spoilers" in the title.](https://www.reddit.com/r/announcements/comments/5or86n/spoilers_tags_for_posts/) `[Spoilers!](/s "This is how you use a spoiler tag.")` For more information, read the [Formatting and Flair](https://www.reddit.com/r/WorldOfYs/wiki/formatting) section of the Wiki. - Submissions must be Ys-related
Submissions regarding e.g. XSEED and Nihon Falcom are more than welcome! This may include information about similar or relevant titles (such as Trails in the Sky), provided they are relevant to Ys-related discussion. Rule of thumb - can this be linked to Ys in some way? - No adult, NSFW or hyper-sexualized content
This community is focused on discussion of the series, gameplay, and general enjoyment of all things Ys - but we draw the line at hyper-sexualized content. There are other areas of the internet for that. - No AI-generated content
AI-generated content is generally low quality and does not offer much for forum discussion, and often results in bickering and flame wars. - No duplicates
Submission is a duplicate of already-submitted content.
What the written rules don't show
- Unpublished minimums. Many communities remove posts from new or low-karma accounts through AutoModerator settings that are not on the rules page, often before a moderator sees them.
- Reddit's own filters. Reddit's site-wide spam filters can remove posts from accounts that mostly share links to their own site, in any community.
- The community's norms. Many communities see themselves as peers, not an audience: post where you already take part, and make the post worth reading without the link.
Let your AI read the rules before it posts.
ThreadFox reads a community's current rules, writes a post that fits them, posts once with Reddit's Brand affiliate tag and checks it stayed up. The free ThreadFox Lite reads rules too.
