What this page is

This page quotes r/Affinity's rules as ThreadFox read them on 2026-10-07. The quoted text is the community's; the verdict above is our reading of it. Conditions often decide whether a post fits (a required thread, flair, posting day, account age or karma), and r/Affinity's current rules on Reddit always win over this page.

Free, for a specific product: a researched Reddit plan by email (communities whose rules fit your post, quoted and dated), or ThreadFox Lite, read-only tools an AI assistant can use to read a community's current rules itself, through your own Chrome (Claude Code: claude mcp add threadfox-lite -- uvx threadfox-lite). For an assistant that also writes and posts within each community's rules, the ThreadFox kit is $49 once.

Want to post here? Get ThreadFox ($49): your AI (Claude Desktop, Claude Code or Codex) reads a community's current rules, writes one post that fits and posts once from your own Chrome. No Claude? We'll post for you ($99 per 30-day campaign). Free: a Reddit launch plan for your product, ThreadFox Lite or the posting checklist by email.

What its rules say about promotion

Buying/Selling Affinity Account
Buying and selling of Affinity accounts is not allowed. Posts and comments will be removed.
Self Promotion
Submitting your own links is great... and encouraged! But sometimes it comes off as spammy, especially if that's the only thing you submit. Be wary of how often you post your own content. The content should be beneficial to others if there are reasons for perpetual-posting.

What its rules say about AI and bots

No AI
No generative AI for posts and comments. Users will be permanently banned for this action.
All 9 rules of r/Affinity
  1. Buying/Selling Affinity Account
Buying and selling of Affinity accounts is not allowed. Posts and comments will be removed.
  2. Hateful or derogatory speech
No hateful or derogatory speech. This includes frivolous swearing and negative language. Comments should be positive. Criticism is allowed, but should be constructive and helpful to those asking for advice/opinions.
  3. Self Promotion
Submitting your own links is great... and encouraged! But sometimes it comes off as spammy, especially if that's the only thing you submit. Be wary of how often you post your own content. The content should be beneficial to others if there are reasons for perpetual-posting.
  4. Keep criticism constructive
When giving feedback on artwork or designs, offer useful suggestions or insights. We’re here to help each other grow as designers and artists, not tear anyone down.
  5. Keep posts relevant to the Affinity suite.
This subreddit focuses on Serif’s Affinity software (Designer, Photo, Publisher, etc.) and related workflows. Off-topic content may be removed.
  6. No piracy or illegal content.
Do not share, request, or link to pirated versions of Affinity or Adobe software, assets, or fonts.
  7. Technical issues belong in the megathread
Posts about software bugs, crashes, performance issues, and installation problems must be posted in the dedicated "Software Support & Issues" megathread. Individual posts on these topics will be removed.
  8. General discussion belongs in the megathread
Broader discussions, speculations, and news about Affinity, Serif, or Canva must be posted in the dedicated "General Discussion & News" megathread. Individual posts of this nature will be removed.
  9. No AI
No generative AI for posts and comments. Users will be permanently banned for this action.

What the written rules don't show

  • Unpublished minimums. Many communities remove posts from new or low-karma accounts through AutoModerator settings that are not on the rules page, often before a moderator sees them.
  • Reddit's own filters. Reddit's site-wide spam filters can remove posts from accounts that mostly share links to their own site, in any community.
  • The community's norms. Many communities see themselves as peers, not an audience: post where you already take part, and make the post worth reading without the link.
