What its rules say about promotion

No promotion of commercial services or products
Commercial GAMES are OK, but direct or indirect promotion of commercial services or products is not allowed. Discussion about them is fine, but overt and repeated promotion is not.
Commercial Game Posts Allowed, with Requirements
You must discuss your game within the context of how it was developed using AI. Share with the community and give something for the community to talk about in your development experience with AI. A fire and forget video/image with no text, chatGPT bullet list may be removed by mods. Apply the "Commercial Self Promotion"flair.
Reposts, Spam, Low Quality, Soliciting, or excessive self promotion.
The subreddit encourages high-effort, original posts and does not allow spam or excessive submissions. Users should check for duplicates before posting, ensure any game self-promotion is relevant, properly flaired, and adds discussion value, and note that services or job-seeking posts are not permitted.

What the written rules don't show

  • Unpublished minimums. Many communities remove posts from new or low-karma accounts through AutoModerator settings that are not on the rules page, often before a moderator sees them.
  • Reddit's own filters. Reddit's site-wide spam filters can remove posts from accounts that mostly share links to their own site, in any community.
  • The community's norms. Many communities see themselves as peers, not an audience: post where you already take part, and make the post worth reading without the link.
