What this page is

This page quotes r/Artisticallyill's rules as ThreadFox read them on 2026-10-12. The quoted text is the community's; the verdict above is our reading of it. Conditions often decide whether a post fits (a required thread, flair, posting day, account age or karma), and r/Artisticallyill's current rules on Reddit always win over this page.

Free, for a specific product: a researched Reddit plan by email (communities whose rules fit your post, quoted and dated), or ThreadFox Lite, read-only tools an AI assistant can use to read a community's current rules itself, through your own Chrome (Claude Code: claude mcp add threadfox-lite -- uvx threadfox-lite). For an assistant that also writes and posts within each community's rules, the ThreadFox kit is $49 once.

Want to post here? Get ThreadFox ($49): your AI (Claude Desktop, Claude Code or Codex) reads a community's current rules, writes one post that fits and posts once from your own Chrome. No Claude? A community for disabled/ chronically ill artists and all types of art

What its rules say about promotion

No self promotion
This is not the place to promote your business! Outside of the marketing Monday thread, no business promotions! No links to your Etsy, website, or instagram (ect.) especially to paid content!! You are allowed to post related subs, art forms that Reddit does not support (links to a YouTube video, podcasts, SoundCloud ect.), and in person shows. Promotions of this nature are allowed but subject to removal. Do not spam Art collabs- be careful when sharing your personal information and art.

What its rules say about AI and bots

Posts must be OC NO AI
No AI art, no stolen art. You can repost art if you have given credit to the artist When reporting this, please provide context if it’s not obvious
All 15 rules of r/Artisticallyill
  1. Be respectful- PLURR
Uphold PLURR at all times- Peace, Love, Unity, Respect, and Responsibility just don’t be a jerk! No racism, sexism, ableism, hate speech, ect. No accusing others of AI directly, if you have a concern report the post or bring it up with me in mod mail.
  2. NO GATEKEEPING- all art + illness/ disability accepted
This includes chronic pain, all sorts of disabilities, mental illnesses, and various degrees of sickness. You are welcome to tag your posts accordingly if you feel comfortable, though it is not required. No need to ask me if you are sick enough to belong with this group- if you’ve gotten this far, this group probably resonates with you and this is where you belong. All types of art are encouraged to be shared! Absolutely no gatekeeping or asking about someone’s medical history.
  4. NSFW and spoiler
NSFW art is ok as long as it is tagged, appropriately flared, and has a content warning. Example: (CW: trauma, nudity) No nude or inappropriate photos. No porn. Non sexual nude art is ok- must be PG13 What constitutes NSFW? Would it be appropriate to show a minor? How about a boss in a professional setting? Posts containing nudity, gore, or disturbing images belong in the NSFW category. Posts that are triggering require a spoiler tag (or NSFW works too), a CW, and an appropriate tag
  5. PG-13
This is not an 18+ sub, therefore our content cannot contain sexual nudity, extremely graphic content, or egregiously offensive language. Non- sexual nudity, moderately graphic content, and swears are still allowed with an NSFW tag, a CW in the title, and appropriately tagged We can still explore mature themes but this is not an appropriate place for “R” rated content
  6. Self harm, suicide, eating disorders, and self done tattoos
We are not a self harm, suicide, or eating disorder support group, we are not equipped to handle crisis posts. r/arttocope is a more appropriate alternative. No posts about self harm or suicide Posts about eating disorders must be focused on recovery- no “pro-ana” content Professionally done tattoos are allowed. Self done tattoos are not allowed, as to not encourage unsafe practices
  7. Art about abuse- rules protecting minors
We allow art and discussion about abuse but we do not allow explicit depictions of child abuse, animal abuse, or sexual abuse. No images that could be considered pornography- including drawn images. No photos of children or inappropriate drawings of children Example: you can share a poem about the loss of innocence/ power from CSA, you cannot share a story explicitly depicting details of CSA.
  8. No medical advice or misinformation
We are not doctors and we are not your doctor!!
  9. Posts must be OC NO AI
No AI art, no stolen art. You can repost art if you have given credit to the artist When reporting this, please provide context if it’s not obvious
  10. Drama and metadrama
Don’t bring your drama here. No making posts about other subs or causing drama. Stay on topic. Keep this place pure
  11. Posts must be related to art and/ or your disability
This sub has a mix of discussion posts as well as art, both are encouraged. Just try to stay primarily on topic
  12. Doxxing and protecting yourself
I recommend that when posting your art, you use a throwaway account or one that you don’t mind being shared. Don’t dox others!!
  13. Account age requirement: 2 weeks
Unfortunately we need a 2 week age requirement for accounts and I can no longer manually approve new posts Speaking of automod: reddits automod will sometimes remove NSFW art. I can approve it just message me if that happens.
  14. Spam
No spam- Including continuously reposting or commenting something. What you do outside of my sub is none of my business (unless you’re doing some pedo, racist, nazi stuff- then you will be banned).
  15. Trauma
Art about trauma must be marked NSFW, and include a clear content warning in the title Example: (TW, explicit trauma, car crash) This rule is so others can have as much consent as possible when seeing triggering or traumatizing content

What the written rules don't show

  • Unpublished minimums. Many communities remove posts from new or low-karma accounts through AutoModerator settings that are not on the rules page, often before a moderator sees them.
  • Reddit's own filters. Reddit's site-wide spam filters can remove posts from accounts that mostly share links to their own site, in any community.
  • The community's norms. Many communities see themselves as peers, not an audience: post where you already take part, and make the post worth reading without the link.
