This page quotes r/celestegame's rules as ThreadFox read them on 2026-10-12. The quoted text is the community's; the verdict above is our reading of it. What its rules say about promotion
No Personal Advertising
Sharing content you've made (including products you're selling or videos) **is allowed** regardless of if you make profit off of it. Advertising yourself (such as linking to your channel or shop page, or social media accounts) is **not allowed**. What its rules say about AI and bots
Give Credit
If the content you're posting is not yours, please mention the original creator in the title and link the source in your post or a comment. If it is yours, please tag it as OC. This rule goes especially for artwork and [implicitly prohibits any AI generated imagery](https://www.reddit.com/r/celestegame/wiki/faq/#wiki_why_is_ai_art_not_allowed.3F).
All 12 rules of r/celestegame
- Be Respectful
Should go without saying. No insults, slurs, other kinds of hate speech, or just generally being a douchebag or bigot. - English Only
Please only speak English here since we want everybody to be able to understand everyone else. - No Inappropriate Content
No NSFW or 18+ content, or anything else that might be particularly crude or shocking. - Keep Posts Celeste Related
Make sure your posts are related to Celeste or the community in some apparent way. - Give Credit

Before you post, make sure that nothing too similar has been posted in the past few days/weeks. This goes especially for memes and questions, but applies to other kinds of posts as well (aside from things that are specific to you, like achievements). Also, make sure to [check the FAQ](https://www.reddit.com/r/celestegame/wiki/faq/) before asking a question. - No Discussion of Piracy
Encouraging, linking to, and otherwise discussing pirated content, especially regarding Celeste, is prohibited. - Use Flairs Properly
Please try your best to label your post with the correct flair. [See here for details on flairs](https://www.reddit.com/r/celestegame/wiki/faq/#wiki_post_flairs.3F_.28this_is_not_a_question_but_uh.2C_deal_with_it.29). - No Low-Quality Memes
If your meme is low-quality or could better be described as a shitpost, consider posting it in r/celestememes instead. [See here for reasoning.](https://www.reddit.com/r/celestegame/wiki/faq/#wiki_why_is_there_a_separate_r.2Fcelestememes_subreddit.3F) - Celeste does not make people trans
Out of respect for everyone, do not say or imply that someone is or will be trans based on playing Celeste, or any other stereotypes about being trans and Celeste, even as a joke. - No Unhelpful or Off-Topic Comments or Images
Comments or images that are not helpful or aren't relevant to the discussion being had will be removed at moderator discretion. This includes suggesting unnecessarily hard tech to beginner players, and making a text post with a random or irrelevant picture attached to it.
What the written rules don't show
- Unpublished minimums. Many communities remove posts from new or low-karma accounts through AutoModerator settings that are not on the rules page, often before a moderator sees them.
- Reddit's own filters. Reddit's site-wide spam filters can remove posts from accounts that mostly share links to their own site, in any community.
- The community's norms. Many communities see themselves as peers, not an audience: post where you already take part, and make the post worth reading without the link.
