What this page is
This page quotes r/gamegrumps's rules as ThreadFox read them on 2026-10-12. The quoted text is the community's; the verdict above is our reading of it. Conditions often decide whether a post fits (a required thread, flair, posting day, account age or karma), and r/gamegrumps's current rules on Reddit always win over this page.
Free, for a specific product: a researched Reddit plan by email (communities whose rules fit your post, quoted and dated), or ThreadFox Lite, read-only tools an AI assistant can use to read a community's current rules itself, through your own Chrome (Claude Code: claude mcp add threadfox-lite -- uvx threadfox-lite). For an assistant that also writes and posts within each community's rules, the ThreadFox kit is $49 once.
Want to post here? Get ThreadFox ($49): your AI (Claude Desktop, Claude Code or Codex) reads a community's current rules, writes one post that fits and posts once from your own Chrome. No Claude? We'll post for you ($49 per 30-day campaign). Free: a Reddit launch plan for your product, ThreadFox Lite or the posting checklist by email.

For anything about the YouTube gaming channel Game Grumps! Please read the rules before posting. *We are not affiliated with the Game Grumps. This is an unofficial Subreddit.*
What its rules say about promotion
Self-promotion is limited to sharing creative works and authentic merchandise listings only.
This is not a space to push for followers/subscribers or to promote the sale of fan-made merch. Please don’t create posts to promote your YouTube, Twitch, or online store. Permitted example of sales listings can include reselling or giving away authentic merch or event tickets. If you're unsure if the content you want to share would be rule-breaking or not, please contact the mods for approval.
Twitter/X links are banned from this sub
Going forward, mods will remove any posts directly linking to Twitter/X. Screenshots are okay to post, as some important Grump news can come from the site sometimes, but we will not allow any links that would promote traffic to the site itself.
What its rules say about AI and bots
No AI-generated content
No AI generated memes or art are allowed here - we want to avoid the spreading of images of Arin or Dan being portrayed in ways they may not be comfortable with.
All 15 rules of r/gamegrumps
- No "in which episode did ___ happen?" posts
Please don't create "in which episode did x happen?" threads. Too many of these tend to clutter the sub, plus there's a dedicated subreddit specifically for that, over at /r/WhichGGEpisode! - Do not post links to the episodes
Users should not post links to episodes; the sub has a bot (u/GameGrumpsEpisodes) for that. If an episode is not posted by the bot after 10 minutes of the episode being up, users may post that episode to the subreddit. Duplicate posts of episodes will be removed based on which one is more popular, rather than which one was posted first, if the first has less interaction. This seems counter-intuitive, but is better for keeping the bulk of conversation centralized in a single thread. - No Rule 34 images
Please do not post Rule 34/NSFW images or art about the members of Game Grumps. Both Dan & Arin have expressed discomfort with them, and those posts will be deleted. - Game suggestions belong in the annual "Game Suggestions" thread
Please don't make posts asking the Grumps to play a specific game; the annual game suggestions thread is where comments/upvotes regarding what games you think the Grumps should play can be posted. Here's a [link](https://www.reddit.com/r/gamegrumps/comments/1q4o6cj/2026_game_suggestion_thread/) to our suggestion thread for 2026! - References need to be labeled with the episode/series they are from
If your post is a reference from an episode that isn't directly related to the Grumps (for example, "ahh, the French" with no actual mention of GG), please mention the name of an episode or series the reference is from in the title or comments, so other lovelies can be in on the joke! Posts will be removed if they don't match this format, and approved if resubmitted in the correct format. - Don't be a jerk!
Any comments attacking other users, groups of people, name calling, or any general hostility will be removed without notice. Homophobia, transphobia, sexism, and racism will not be tolerated and are subject to an immediate ban. Constructive criticism is fine, but don't personally attack any member of the subreddit, the Grumps, or any other party. - Criticism IS allowed
Continuing in the theme of rule 6, criticism of Game Grumps in good spirit is allowed. People should not be attacked for voicing their opinion about the channel, whether it's positive or not. Direct, offensive personal attacks disguised as opinions will be promptly removed and may lead to a temp/perma ban on repeat offenses. - Keep other subs in other subs
Please keep discussions that belong in other Game Grumps subreddits in their own subreddits. Posts discussing these subs or linking to them may be subject to removal if the conversations are inherently negative on either side. - No AI-generated content
No AI generated memes or art are allowed here - we want to avoid the spreading of images of Arin or Dan being portrayed in ways they may not be comfortable with. - No posting personal information about the Grumps
Users are not allowed to post personal information about members of the Game Grumps, unless they have discussed it beforehand on the show/have publicly expressed they're comfortable with it being shared. Rumors and speculative intrusive posts and comments are not permitted. Repeat offenses will lead to a ban. - Do not post Patreon-exclusive content
Please don't post any Patreon-exclusive content to this subreddit. It's behind a paywall for a reason! Go to https://www.patreon.com/gamegrumps if you are interested in supporting the Grumps directly! - Self-promotion is limited to sharing creative works and authentic merchandise listings only.
- Posts involving story-heavy based games in active play on the channel should be spoiler tagged.
If a story-heavy based game is currently in active play on the Grumps YouTube Channel (e.g. Visual Novels, Danganronpa, Ace Attorney), posts and comments involving that content should be tagged for spoilers. - Twitter/X links are banned from this sub
Going forward, mods will remove any posts directly linking to Twitter/X. Screenshots are okay to post, as some important Grump news can come from the site sometimes, but we will not allow any links that would promote traffic to the site itself. - No reposts (within 1 month)
If you repost something (meme, art, crosspost that's Grumps related, etc.) that has already been posted within the last month, whichever version of the post has the most interactions will stay up and others will be removed, in order to help centralize discussion on that thread.
What the written rules don't show
- Unpublished minimums. Many communities remove posts from new or low-karma accounts through AutoModerator settings that are not on the rules page, often before a moderator sees them.
- Reddit's own filters. Reddit's site-wide spam filters can remove posts from accounts that mostly share links to their own site, in any community.
- The community's norms. Many communities see themselves as peers, not an audience: post where you already take part, and make the post worth reading without the link.
