This page quotes r/iosmusicproduction's rules as ThreadFox read them on 2026-10-12. The quoted text is the community's; the verdict above is our reading of it. Conditions often decide whether a post fits (a required thread, flair, posting day, account age or karma), and r/iosmusicproduction's current rules on Reddit always win over this page.
Free, for a specific product: a researched Reddit plan by email (communities whose rules fit your post, quoted and dated), or ThreadFox Lite, read-only tools an AI assistant can use to read a community's current rules itself, through your own Chrome (Claude Code: claude mcp add threadfox-lite -- uvx threadfox-lite). For an assistant that also writes and posts within each community's rules, the ThreadFox kit is $49 once.
Want to post here? Get ThreadFox ($49): your AI (Claude Desktop, Claude Code or Codex) reads a community's current rules, writes one post that fits and posts once from your own Chrome. No Claude? What its rules say about promotion
Be Kind and Helpful
There is now a thread for promoting your music! So please use that moving forward. Ask for feedback, listen to other tunes, have fun in there and enjoy! No seven day rule anymore just be mindful. If you feel like you're sharing a LOT in a short time consider spacing it out.
Spamming
Join the group, be helpful, get involved. Don't just jump in to dump links to your app or music every couple of days ESPECIALLY if it's AI generated. Spamming in the group is not tolerated and if I have to spend a lot of time out of my day cleaning up your mess you'll get the ban hammer.
Share music in self promotion thread.
No more seven day rule. Share your tunes in this thread. Have fun!

A link dumper is someone who just pops into the group to share a link to their channel or profile JUST to get the traffic. ie Giveaways, etc. They do not actively participate in the community other than that. Ask yourself if this is you. If you think the answer is yes then consider helping others in the group when they have questions. If I see too many link dumps from one person I'm going to delete them. - Share music in self promotion thread.
No more seven day rule. Share your tunes in this thread. Have fun! - Giveaways / Promo Codes
If you have codes to giveaway that's great! Just have your contest here in our community forum. Links to external giveaways to get traffic are considered link dumping / spamming and will get deleted.
What the written rules don't show
- Unpublished minimums. Many communities remove posts from new or low-karma accounts through AutoModerator settings that are not on the rules page, often before a moderator sees them.
- Reddit's own filters. Reddit's site-wide spam filters can remove posts from accounts that mostly share links to their own site, in any community.
- The community's norms. Many communities see themselves as peers, not an audience: post where you already take part, and make the post worth reading without the link.
