What this page is

This page quotes r/kindafunny's rules as ThreadFox read them on 2026-10-12. The quoted text is the community's; the verdict above is our reading of it. Conditions often decide whether a post fits (a required thread, flair, posting day, account age or karma), and r/kindafunny's current rules on Reddit always win over this page.

Free, for a specific product: a researched Reddit plan by email (communities whose rules fit your post, quoted and dated), or ThreadFox Lite, read-only tools an AI assistant can use to read a community's current rules itself, through your own Chrome (Claude Code: claude mcp add threadfox-lite -- uvx threadfox-lite). For an assistant that also writes and posts within each community's rules, the ThreadFox kit is $49 once.

Want to post here? Get ThreadFox ($49): your AI (Claude Desktop, Claude Code or Codex) reads a community's current rules, writes one post that fits and posts once from your own Chrome. No Claude? We'll post for you ($49 per 30-day campaign). Free: a Reddit launch plan for your product, ThreadFox Lite or the posting checklist by email.

What its rules say about AI and bots

No AI Generated Content
Generative AI has a long list of issues that make it problematic, from its environmental impact to how it steals from existing works to create content and more. No posts or comments featuring AI generated content are permitted.
All 9 rules of r/kindafunny
  1. Hate speech
Hate speach (including, but not limited to rasicm, sexism, homophobia) of any kind will not be tolerated, and will result in an instant and permanent ban with no warning.
  2. Habitual harassment
Repeated harassment of Reddit users, KF members, or anyone else will not be tolerated. Just because you disagree with someone does not mean you need to comment "Fuck <person>" on every post here. The same goes for name-calling. If you can't say something without calling someone names, you shouldn't say it at all.
  3. Sharing exclusing content
Do not share patron-only content. The guys work hard on what they do, and sharing premium content with those who aren't patrons defeats the purpose entirely. If you post private YouTube links, downloads to early .mp3 episodes, or anything that is exclusively available to patrons, you will be permanently banned.
  4. Self-promotion
Self-promotion is only allowed in the designated weekly Sunday thread.
  5. Unmarked spoilers
Spoilers must be marked as such. No one likes to read spoilers, and covering those spoilers is very easy to do.
  6. Off-topic posting
Do not post things that don't include or concern Kinda Funny, its members, or topics relevant to any of their shows. What is considered as "off-topic" is up the the discretion of the moderators. GoFundMe and similar sites are considered off-topic and will be removed unless approved by moderators in advance.
  7. Click-bait titles
Things like "One of life's burning questions..." & "This might be a dumb question but..." are not acceptable titles. If you're asking a question, put it in the title.
  8. Twitter/X posts
Links to and screenshots of posts on Twitter/X are not permitted on this subreddit. Please use the report button if you spot one that moderators have not removed.
  9. No AI Generated Content
Generative AI has a long list of issues that make it problematic, from its environmental impact to how it steals from existing works to create content and more. No posts or comments featuring AI generated content are permitted.

What the written rules don't show

  • Unpublished minimums. Many communities remove posts from new or low-karma accounts through AutoModerator settings that are not on the rules page, often before a moderator sees them.
  • Reddit's own filters. Reddit's site-wide spam filters can remove posts from accounts that mostly share links to their own site, in any community.
  • The community's norms. Many communities see themselves as peers, not an audience: post where you already take part, and make the post worth reading without the link.
