This page quotes r/MarvelFanfiction's rules as ThreadFox read them on 2026-10-12. The quoted text is the community's; the verdict above is our reading of it. Conditions often decide whether a post fits (a required thread, flair, posting day, account age or karma), and r/MarvelFanfiction's current rules on Reddit always win over this page.

All 8 rules of r/MarvelFanfiction
- No hate speech or other overt discrimination
This is a place to share and read fanfiction with other people and promote discussion within the fanbase. This is not a place to be used as a platform for hate, bigotry, or other negative tidings towards others. - No flaming
Be respectful to other users, this means no flaming/attacking. - Author impersonating
Users impersonating an author they are not will be banned. - Flair and title your post properly
Title your post so that someone can tell what it is about before opening it. No one worded, hashtags, only emojis, or clickbait/misleading titles. You must add link flair to your post. The moderators will flair the post themselves after a period of time has passed (~30 minutes) with it being left without a flair. Multiple instances of not flairing posts will be kept track of and result in a violation of the rule + a temporary 7 day ban. - No Selling Goods or Services
Includes fics, editing services, links to Patreon and the like. Blanket, sub-wide ban of links to promoted products. - No Sexualization of Minors/Non-consensual Sexual Content
No direct links to sexual or suggestive content involving minors. Please note reddit's policy regarding this issue. All direct links to such content will be removed. Gratuitous or positive depictions of non-consensual sexual content are also subject to removal. - No Stealing Content
Do not use this subreddit to try to circumvent the rules of other fanfiction communities or the expressed will of authors. I.e. don't try to redistribute content from authors/communities who have made it clear that they are not okay with it. - Off topic
No off topic posts. If your post doesn't have anything to do with Marvel and/or fan fiction, it doesn't belong here.
What the written rules don't show
- Unpublished minimums. Many communities remove posts from new or low-karma accounts through AutoModerator settings that are not on the rules page, often before a moderator sees them.
- Reddit's own filters. Reddit's site-wide spam filters can remove posts from accounts that mostly share links to their own site, in any community.
- The community's norms. Many communities see themselves as peers, not an audience: post where you already take part, and make the post worth reading without the link.
