What its rules say about AI and bots
No low-effort posts
Use Descriptive Titles: Please use clear and descriptive titles that help other users understand the content of your post. Vague titles may be otherwise removed. AI content is permitted when it provides value to the sub but low-effort, misleading content or lack of transparency may cause your post removal or ban.
All 6 rules of r/racinggames
- Be Respectful
Treat others with respect. Personal attacks, harassment, hate speech, trolling, witch hunts, or attempts to provoke other users are not allowed. Disagree with opinions, not with people. - Use the Correct Post Flair
Please select the most appropriate flair when creating a post. Flairs help keep the subreddit organized and make it easier for members to find content they're interested in. - Do Not Abuse the Report Function
Reports should be used for genuine rule violations. Do not report posts simply because you disagree with an opinion, dislike a game being discussed, or want content removed. False or abusive reporting makes moderation more difficult for everyone. - No Platform War Bait
Healthy discussion and comparison between games, platforms, and simulators is encouraged. Posts created primarily to provoke arguments, start platform wars, or attack fans of specific games may be removed. - No low-effort posts
Use Descriptive Titles: Please use clear and descriptive titles that help other users understand the content of your post. Vague titles may be otherwise removed. AI content is permitted when it provides value to the sub but low-effort, misleading content or lack of transparency may cause your post removal or ban. - Constructive Criticism Welcome
Criticizing games is fine. "This game sucks and everyone who plays it is stupid" is not.
What the written rules don't show
- Unpublished minimums. Many communities remove posts from new or low-karma accounts through AutoModerator settings that are not on the rules page, often before a moderator sees them.
- Reddit's own filters. Reddit's site-wide spam filters can remove posts from accounts that mostly share links to their own site, in any community.
- The community's norms. Many communities see themselves as peers, not an audience: post where you already take part, and make the post worth reading without the link.
