What this page is
This page quotes r/solarpunk's rules as ThreadFox read them on 2026-10-12. The quoted text is the community's; the verdict above is our reading of it. Conditions often decide whether a post fits (a required thread, flair, posting day, account age or karma), and r/solarpunk's current rules on Reddit always win over this page.
Free, for a specific product: a researched Reddit plan by email (communities whose rules fit your post, quoted and dated), or ThreadFox Lite, read-only tools an AI assistant can use to read a community's current rules itself, through your own Chrome (Claude Code: claude mcp add threadfox-lite -- uvx threadfox-lite). For an assistant that also writes and posts within each community's rules, the ThreadFox kit is $49 once.
Want to post here? Get ThreadFox ($49): your AI (Claude Desktop, Claude Code or Codex) reads a community's current rules, writes one post that fits and posts once from your own Chrome. No Claude? We'll post for you ($49 per 30-day campaign). Free: a Reddit launch plan for your product, ThreadFox Lite or the posting checklist by email.

Solarpunk is a genre and aesthetic that envisions collective futures that are vibrant with life, as well as all the actions, policies, and technologies that make them real. We are interested in science fiction, social movements, engineering, style, and anything that inspires a future society that is just and in harmony with its ecology. What its rules say about AI and bots
No Memes / Low-effort-posts
Memes and low-effort-posts are not allowed on this sub. Low-Effort posts include GENERATED art/text, alongside submissions and crossposts of tweets, tumblr posts, etc. Memes go to r/solarjunk. "AI"-assisted posts MUST BE labeled and are still subject to removal.
All 7 rules of r/solarpunk
- Stay civil
We aim to create an inclusive community but we also want to be a welcoming place for dialogue. This means that everyone may not always agree but please be respectful to one another, and, barring that, at least be civil. In the end, sometimes the best you can do is to politely agree to disagree. If something is so sacred/emotionally important to you that you won't be able to politely agree to disagree, tell the other person that and politely disengage. - Posts must be on topic

We're trying to fix things here, and to be inspired to be part of the solution. - No offensive content
No sexism, no racism, no nazi, no antisemitism, no ecofascism, no TERFing, no trolls, no cryptocurrency, no AI singularity, no eugenics . That shit is not welcome here and is grounds for a strike, or an immediate ban. - No gatekeeping / derailing
Solarpunk is a BIG umbrella, we cover a lot of territory, and people are in different stages of their journey. In this particular community, we're not wild about capitalists or landlords but people WILL have different political views and practices here, including dietary. You can educate one another on your particular views, but when conversations are clearly unproductive, we're all old enough here to know to disengage. If you can't explain your view without attacking another person, see rule #1 - No Memes / Low-effort-posts

What the written rules don't show
- Unpublished minimums. Many communities remove posts from new or low-karma accounts through AutoModerator settings that are not on the rules page, often before a moderator sees them.
- Reddit's own filters. Reddit's site-wide spam filters can remove posts from accounts that mostly share links to their own site, in any community.
- The community's norms. Many communities see themselves as peers, not an audience: post where you already take part, and make the post worth reading without the link.
