What this page is

This page quotes r/uboatgame's rules as ThreadFox read them on 2026-10-12. The quoted text is the community's; the verdict above is our reading of it. Conditions often decide whether a post fits (a required thread, flair, posting day, account age or karma), and r/uboatgame's current rules on Reddit always win over this page.

Free, for a specific product: a researched Reddit plan by email (communities whose rules fit your post, quoted and dated), or ThreadFox Lite, read-only tools an AI assistant can use to read a community's current rules itself, through your own Chrome (Claude Code: claude mcp add threadfox-lite -- uvx threadfox-lite). For an assistant that also writes and posts within each community's rules, the ThreadFox kit is $49 once.

Want to post here? Get ThreadFox ($49): your AI (Claude Desktop, Claude Code or Codex) reads a community's current rules, writes one post that fits and posts once from your own Chrome. No Claude? We'll post for you ($49 per 30-day campaign). Free: a Reddit launch plan for your product, ThreadFox Lite or the posting checklist by email.

Unofficial subreddit for the game UBoat. A fantastic submarine simulation game based in the WWII era

What its rules say about AI and bots

Bots
Look, we need real captains in here, offering real firing solutions, not running thousands of simulations and hoping for the best. If the community thinks you're a bot, your post will be removed. If this isn't true, get in touch and we can reinstate your post, otherwise I guess I'll see one of your cousins here again real soon.
All 5 rules of r/uboatgame
  1. All content should be related to UBoat
This is a subreddit for the game UBoat, posts are expected to be about the game. Any content relating to real world events may be moderated and may also be removed if they are deemed too far from this subs subject matter.
  2. No spam
Just no, please, we come here for a good time and spam rations are all out of service right now. Keep yours to yourself.
  3. Unexplained Screenshot/Media
If you post a screenshot/picture of the game, point out what you want people to look at in the image or explain in the comments. A single image with just a title is likely not enough information, we want more details! We encourage in game screenshots where possible using Steams F12 default or the windows built in shortcuts. This ensures your images are as clear as possible for all to enjoy.
  4. Tonnage Reports
We all want to see your work out there at sea, but we also want to encourage the discussion and stories around the events leading up to those reports. As these reports often come as a single screenshot we ask that Tonnage reports are only posted during "Tonnage Tuesdays".

What the written rules don't show

  • Unpublished minimums. Many communities remove posts from new or low-karma accounts through AutoModerator settings that are not on the rules page, often before a moderator sees them.
  • Reddit's own filters. Reddit's site-wide spam filters can remove posts from accounts that mostly share links to their own site, in any community.
  • The community's norms. Many communities see themselves as peers, not an audience: post where you already take part, and make the post worth reading without the link.
