What this page is
This page quotes r/SideHustleGold's rules as ThreadFox read them on 2026-10-06. The quoted text is the community's; the verdict above is our reading of it. Conditions often decide whether a post fits (a required thread, flair, posting day, account age or karma), and r/SideHustleGold's current rules on Reddit always win over this page.
Free, for a specific product: a researched Reddit plan by email (communities whose rules fit your post, quoted and dated), or ThreadFox Lite, read-only tools an AI assistant can use to read a community's current rules itself, through your own Chrome (Claude Code: claude mcp add threadfox-lite -- uvx threadfox-lite). For an assistant that also writes and posts within each community's rules, the ThreadFox kit is $49 once.
Want to post here? Get ThreadFox ($49): your AI (Claude Desktop, Claude Code or Codex) reads a community's current rules, writes one post that fits and posts once from your own Chrome. No Claude? - its rules on Reddit
The gold-standard community for side hustles and personal finance. We share new side hustle ideas, discuss personal finance, and foster a helpful and inclusive space for people of all backgrounds, no matter where they are on their side hustle journey.
What its rules say about promotion
No Illegal Activities
Any content that discusses or promotes illegal activities is strictly prohibited.
Sharing Links and Resources
Sharing links, including referral links and links to external sites like blogs or articles, is permitted as long as they are relevant to side hustles or personal finance, are helpful, or are positively adding to a discussion. As a rule of thumb, links are only allowed if it is a value-add to the broader community. Otherwise, links that are not considered a value-add to the broader community will be removed. There is no link limit as each one is judged on whether it adds value individually.
What its rules say about AI and bots
Be Inclusive
We are an inclusive community and judge all contributions strictly by their quality and value. The use of assistant tools like AI is welcome, as this keeps our community accessible for everyone, including non-native English speakers and those who may need help putting their ideas into words. As with all content, AI-assisted posts must be high quality and genuinely helpful.

Please put effort into your posts and comments. Content should add value to the community, contribute constructively to discussions, or initiate meaningful conversation. - No Illegal Activities

What the written rules don't show
- Unpublished minimums. Many communities remove posts from new or low-karma accounts through AutoModerator settings that are not on the rules page, often before a moderator sees them.
- Reddit's own filters. Reddit's site-wide spam filters can remove posts from accounts that mostly share links to their own site, in any community.
- The community's norms. Many communities see themselves as peers, not an audience: post where you already take part, and make the post worth reading without the link.
