What this page is

This page quotes r/NovelAi's rules as ThreadFox read them on 2026-10-12. The quoted text is the community's; the verdict above is our reading of it. Conditions often decide whether a post fits (a required thread, flair, posting day, account age or karma), and r/NovelAi's current rules on Reddit always win over this page.

Free, for a specific product: a researched Reddit plan by email (communities whose rules fit your post, quoted and dated), or ThreadFox Lite, read-only tools an AI assistant can use to read a community's current rules itself, through your own Chrome (Claude Code: claude mcp add threadfox-lite -- uvx threadfox-lite). For an assistant that also writes and posts within each community's rules, the ThreadFox kit is $49 once.

Want to post here? Get ThreadFox ($49): your AI (Claude Desktop, Claude Code or Codex) reads a community's current rules, writes one post that fits and posts once from your own Chrome. No Claude? We'll post for you ($49 per 30-day campaign). Free: a Reddit launch plan for your product, ThreadFox Lite or the posting checklist by email.

No "How do I get this style?" posts
Posts asking which artist/style/mix were used in an image are not allowed. See the [full rules](https://www.reddit.com/r/NovelAi/wiki/index/rules) for details. However, [Precise Reference](https://docs.novelai.net/en/image/precisereference) or [Vibe Transfer](https://docs.novelai.net/en/image/vibetransfer) might help in getting a style. You could also ask for advice in the [NovelAI Discord](https://discord.com/invite/novelai), which is better suited for such questions.
Metadata Required for Image Generation Issues
Posts about image generation issues that lack full metadata or actionable details cannot be investigated, and are therefore not allowed.
Customer Support only via official channels
Do not post customer support requests, including payment issues, bug reports, account help, and similar. Users may not offer customer support. When applicable, contact the support team. support@novelai.net is the only method for discussing payment issues or seeking assistance.

What the written rules don't show

Unpublished minimums. Many communities remove posts from new or low-karma accounts through AutoModerator settings that are not on the rules page, often before a moderator sees them.
Reddit's own filters. Reddit's site-wide spam filters can remove posts from accounts that mostly share links to their own site, in any community.
The community's norms. Many communities see themselves as peers, not an audience: post where you already take part, and make the post worth reading without the link.
